We hope you're loving having Tabasom Marandiz () in Live/Work Studio #2 just as much as we are! Specializing in watercolor, she creates paintings with themes that revolve around nostalgia, such as her personal memory, her identity as an Iranian American, and contemporary culture. She believes that the translucent, fluid quality of watercolor helps create a memory-like quality in her pieces, which supports the theme of nostalgia in her work. We can't wait to see what she makes in the studio next!

Don't forget to grab a spot in our upcoming Montotype class taught by CASP Director, . Over the course of the class students will design and create a three layer monotype self portrait. All the supplies for the project are included, so make sure you grab your spot before we begin on Saturday, October 17th at 10:00!

CASP was on the go this weekend at the 56th annual Fall Festival hosted by the ! We had a blast screen printing, coloring, and thinking about colder weather with everyone who stopped by.

Button Collage Class
This two session class will focus on collage techniques, and students will make their collages into one-of-a-kind buttons to wear, share, and enjoy. This class is open to artists of all levels. The supplies necessary to complete this project are included in the price, but CASP invites you to bring additional collage supplies to incorporate into your compositions. This class will be taught by local artist and long-time friend of CASP, Jon Whitfill.

Monotype Self Portrait Class (October 17, 24, and 31)
This three session class will offer a crash course on Monotypes, and is perfect for any level of artist. Over the course of the class students will design and create a three layer monotype self portrait. The supplies necessary to complete this project are included in the price. This class will be taught by local artist and CASP Executive Director, Chad Plunket.

Meet Robbie Stafford (.918 ) who has been making it happen in Studio 3 this summer! When we asked him about the work has been making, he said his goal is to create immersive experiences where visitors feel fully part of the piece, whether it’s through motion, music, or touch. He also hopes to to show people the process of building his work so audiences can experience how the work comes together. We are excited to see what Robbie creates next!!
