Deputy Sheriff D. Robert Martin Harvey was killed in a tragic line-of-duty car accident on April 26, 2009, while responding to a fight-in-progress call.

Deputy Harvey joined the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office on his birthday, October 7, 2001. He was a valued instructor and a member of the Honor Guard. Many remember him as always taking time to help others. Corporal Harvey volunteered as a Little League Coach and took time to participate in many community events. He filled the roles of father, husband, son, and friend. He is dearly missed and fondly remembered.
