Message from the LOUD and PROUD organizers:

‼️‼️‼️ IMPORTANT UPDATE ‼️‼️‼️

After careful consideration, we are moving our event to a new location! This decision was made for one reason only: the safety of our community.

Over the past several weeks, our event has been met with intimidation, harassment, and threats. While we’ve been repeatedly assured that we are legally within our rights to host this event in our public park, the escalating hostility created safety concerns for our attendees, performers, volunteers, families, and community members.

For nearly a year, we’ve hosted free, family-friendly community events focused on connection, belonging, supporting local organizations, and bringing people together. When the safety of our community became a concern, we adapted - because protecting people will always matter more than proving a point!!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of several local donors, we’re excited to announce that we’ve secured the TMW Event Center! We truly couldn’t be more excited about this space. It’s going to be an incredible space for all our festivities and is only going to make the day even more magical.

We’ve also secured on-site security, we have also been assured there will be increased patrols through the area to help ensure a safe evening for everyone. We are truly grateful to our local police department for their assistance in ensuring safety for our community as a whole!

And just to be clear…

We’re still bringing Levelland’s first-ever family-friendly drag show to our community.

Our event will include no nudity, no sexually explicit performances, and no vulgar or obscene content. Performers have been given clear expectations, costumes have been approved in advance, and the event will be actively overseen to ensure it remains appropriate for a family-friendly audience.

The location has changed.

Our mission hasn’t.

We’re still creating a welcoming space where people can come together, celebrate individuality, support local performers, local businesses, and enjoy a SAFE community event.
