First Tee - Louisville Louisville Youth Development Program
Life Skills + Golf = Building Game Changers Augustine, Florida. This was a day many of us had been waiting years to arrive.

In February 2005, First Tee – Louisville became the 200th facility of First Tee at its Annual Meeting at the World Golf Village in St. First Tee – Louisville was conceived as an umbrella organization for three existing junior golf programs at Shawnee Golf Course (Urban Youth Golf program, Tee Swingers and Shawnee Youth Golf Club). Today, these programs have been molded into First Tee – Louisville, which provides Golf Skills, Life Skills and Healthy Habits to our participants. Over the years our programming has grown, as has the number of participants in the programs. This year we are conducting seven-week sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Proud moment for one of our board members, Missy Gahm Kremer!

The Kentucky Golf Foundation has named our board member, Missy Gahm Kremer, a 2026 Distinguished Service Award recipient; alongside fellow honoree Jeff Conley!

Missy's fingerprints are on nearly every corner of golf in Kentucky from youth development with us, as board member and volunteer, to volunteer leadership at the 2024 PGA Championship, to serving as Vice Chair for the 2028 Solheim Cup at Valhalla. She and her husband Rob are also generous champions of golf causes across the Commonwealth.

Congratulations, Missy, so well deserved!

This is what growth looks like.

What a great turnout at our Development Tour event this past Sunday! Huge thanks to Long Run Golf Course for hosting us and giving our young golfers such a great place to play and learn.

And to all the parents who brought their kids out, thank you. Days like this aren't just about golf swings and scorecards. They're where kids practice patience, handle a tough hole, encourage a teammate, and build the kind of confidence that carries off the course too.

That's what First Tee is really about , one round at a time.

Thank you to everyone who made it a great day!
