Adelante was honored to be one of four organizations highlighted at the 5th Annual Race4Justice, organized by the amazing Future Ancestors. We are grateful for this partnership and the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful event.

It was inspiring to see the community come together to honor the life of Breonna Taylor and celebrate the power of advocacy, awareness, and community.

Thank you to our students, alumni, board, staff, and families who joined Team Adelante. We had a great time! 💙🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Had an amazing time volunteering at the Racing Louisville FC game and sharing information about Adelante with the community! ⚽💜 We are grateful for opportunities like this to connect with families, build community partnerships, and spread awareness about the work we do to support and empower youth and families.

A big shout-out to our amazing Achievers who came out to support us, connect with community members, and share with them. We are incredibly grateful to have such wonderful representatives of Adelante. Thank you for always keeping Adelante close to your hearts and for continuing to show up, support our mission, and help us make a positive impact. Last Saturday, we proudly celebrated the Art Opens Doors: Music Module showcase, a meaningful collaboration with Louisville Folk School, Americana, and The Route. This special program provided our students with incredible instructors and the opportunity to dedicate several hours of hard work and practice, culminating in a performance we couldn’t be prouder of. 🎶🎸

Our Achievers demonstrated the incredible skills they developed throughout the program in a beautiful performance. It was truly inspiring to witness their confidence, empowerment, and sense of ownership shine through music on stage. ✨

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible music teachers, Beatriz and Blakeley Burger, for their patience, support, care, and expertise, which made this journey so meaningful for our students. 🩵🧡💛

This past celebration, we recognized students who have shown dedication, growth, leadership, and kindness throughout the semester.

From Creative Thinker to Positive Spirit and Never Gives Up, our awards are thoughtfully personalized to reflect the qualities that make each student special. Whether outspoken or quiet, every student deserves to feel supported and appreciated for who they are. 🫂🧡

Spring 2026 has officially come to an end, and what an incredible semester it has been! 🤩🥳

We wrapped things up with our exciting Color Wars, where students took on a mix of physical and mental challenges that put their skills, teamwork, and creativity to the test. To finish the day, we celebrated with our end-of-year party—complete with hot dogs, prizes, and well-deserved awards 🏆🏅

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteers, dedicated staff, and supportive community for making this semester truly unforgettable. We can’t wait to see you all again and continue creating meaningful and fun experiences together! 🧡

And just like that, we sent off another generation of Adelante seniors!

This past Thursday, we celebrated the 15th cohort of Adelante seniors graduating not only from high school, but also from our SABER and Get READY programs. It is always a bittersweet moment to watch them move on, but we know they are ready to change the world, and we could not be prouder of their achievements, resilience, and commitment to their future.

We want to thank their parents for trusting us to walk alongside their children throughout this journey; our Adelante mentors for their unwavering support and guidance; our community partners for helping create a strong network of opportunities; and our Adelante staff and Board of Directors for their incredible work in ensuring our mission continues to grow stronger and make a lasting impact.

A special thank you to for donating the cake — it was a highlight of the celebration! And thank you to the office of for joining us in recognizing and honoring our outstanding students.

¡Y así, despedimos a otra generación de seniors de Adelante!

Este pasado jueves celebramos a la 15ª generación de seniors de Adelante, quienes no solo se graduaron de la preparatoria, sino también de nuestros programas SABER y Get READY. Siempre es un momento agridulce verlos partir, pero sabemos que están listos para cambiar el mundo, y no podríamos sentirnos más orgullosos de todos sus logros, resiliencia y compromiso con su futuro.

Queremos agradecer a sus padres por confiar en nosotros para acompañar a sus hijos en este camino; a los mentores de Adelante por su apoyo y guía incondicional; a nuestros socios comunitarios por ayudar a crear una sólida red de oportunidades; y al personal y la Mesa Directiva de Adelante por el increíble trabajo que realizan para asegurar que nuestra misión siga creciendo y generando impacto.

Welcome to Adelante, Precious!

We are thrilled to welcome Precious Lowe as our new College & Career Readiness Program Manager!

Precious is a blind Boricua music artist, songwriter, author, educator, and disability advocate with a double bachelor’s degree from Berklee College of Music. Originally from Massachusetts, she made Louisville her home in 2022 and has been actively sharing her talents and passion through music, teaching, and community engagement. You can find her performing with her band Sight Unseen, teaching vocal lessons at Mom’s Music, or spending time with loved ones (and her cat, Tomás).

“Adelante feels like the perfect fit for me, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of such an amazing organization. I remember what it was like navigating college and career as a first-generation, low-income student with a disability, and how important my mentors and counselors were on that journey. It has always been my goal to empower the next generation in all I do, so it is an honor for me to lead by example and support students and families in this way.”

We are so excited to have Precious join the Adelante family and can’t wait for the impact she will make in the lives of our students and families.
