Sunday - LOTS of people in the park for the holiday weekend - shuttles busily running between Frijoles and the new parking lot in Juniper Campground, once the canyon spaces were full

Coming this weekend, two cultural demonstrators: Vicki Martinez-Naranjo will be demonstrating in the park Thursday, September 3rd and Friday, September 4th from 9:30am-4:00pm at the Visitor Center. She is a 4th generation traditional Santa Clara Pueblo potter, learning from her grandmother Flora Naranjo, and mother Barbara Martinez. Vicki has been working on pottery since she was 8 years old, and she has received a few awards. The Avanu or water serpent is most favorable design on most of her pieces."

Additionally, for the Labor Day weekend Jimmy Yawakia from Zuni will be demonstrating fe**sh carvings on Saturday, September 5th and Sunday, September 6th.
