Birth Talk this Monday will be a special topic.

Carrie Blake, CPM, MPH, and Director of Midwives @ the Edges (M@tE) is planning to attend. M@tE is starting a new program called Desert Midwives to establish Midwives in Los Alamos, Mora, and San Miguel Counties and Carrie can answer many of the questions we may have regarding what that care could/will look like.

Although we know Labor Day isn't about the labor of birthing, we like to hold more intentional space at September's meeting for birth stories, especially if you have an experience you've been waiting to share or want to revisit. The co-facilitators will make sure there is time for these stories as well as questions about and discussion surrounding Midwifery.

Join us for our September field trip as we explore Los Luceros Historic Site!
We will meet at the Visitor Center at 10:30 AM on September 12, embark on a self-guided tour, and will have the opportunity to pick fruit! We will also do a picnic lunch together at either the picnic tables at the visitor center or down by the river house.
