What an incredible morning of community, unity, and celebration as participants came together to run, walk, and honor the enduring legacy of Juneteenth. From seasoned runners to first-time participants, the event showcased the power of coming together in remembrance of our history while embracing a healthier future.

On ๐‰๐ฎ๐ง๐ž ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ—, ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ“, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally learned they were free. Juneteenth commemorates that historic day and celebrates freedom, resilience, and hope.

The ๐‰๐ฎ๐ง๐ž๐ญ๐ž๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ก ๐…๐ฅ๐š๐  tells this story:
โญ The white star represents Texas and the freedom of African Americans in all 50 states.
โญ The bursting outline symbolizes a new beginning.
โญ The red, white, and blue colors remind us that Black history is American history.
โญ The curved horizon represents new opportunities and a brighter future.
