We spend years preparing our children for graduation.

We prepare them for college.
We prepare them for careers.
We teach them how to drive.
We talk to them about money and adulthood.

But there’s another responsibility coming sooner than many of us realize.

Their first vote. 🗳️

Some of today’s high school students will be eligible to participate in an official election before they ever walk across the graduation stage.

So here’s the question we’ve been asking:

Who’s preparing them for that?

Not telling them what to think.

Teaching them how to research.

How to ask questions.

How to recognize reliable information.

How to understand the decisions appearing before them.

How to respectfully disagree.

How to understand that their voice comes with responsibility.

And how to become an informed participant in their community.

Your Unique Definition has been working on something for Texas high school students.

And we’re almost ready to show you. 👀

🗳️ Something BIG is coming — and Texas students are at the center of it.

What if we stopped waiting until young people turned 18 to start preparing them to use their voice?

What if, before their first official ballot, students already understood how to:

✅ Navigate the voting process
🔎 Research candidates for themselves
📋 Understand what is actually on a ballot
📱 Question information they see online
💬 Discuss different viewpoints respectfully
🏛️ Understand how government affects their lives
🏠 Take what they learn home to their families

That is the vision behind the Texas Youth Mock Election & Civic Leadership Experience.

This is not simply about letting students cast a mock ballot.

We are creating an experience that helps prepare high school students for the transition:

FROM STUDENT TO VOTER.

And we believe the impact can extend far beyond the student.

A young person who learns how to research, ask questions and locate reliable information can take that knowledge home and start conversations with parents, grandparents and other adults in their family.

We are not teaching students who to support.

We are teaching them how to learn, research, think critically and make informed decisions for themselves.

🗳️ What if every student learned how to disagree with respect instead of anger?

What if they learned how to research the facts before forming an opinion?

What if they understood how elections work before they became voters?

That’s exactly why we created the JURIS Project.

The Texas Youth Mock Election & Civic Leadership Experience isn’t just a mock election—it’s a hands-on leadership experience where students learn to:

⚖️ Think critically, not emotionally
🗣️ Communicate with confidence and respect
🤝 Resolve conflict through civil discourse
🗳️ Experience the Texas election process firsthand
🏛️ Develop leadership through service and civic engagement

Our goal is to prepare the next generation of informed citizens, ethical leaders, attorneys, judges, educators, business leaders, and public servants.

But we can’t do it alone.

Your donation helps provide:
✅ Mock election materials
✅ Debate and public speaking experiences
✅ Leadership workshops
✅ Community service projects
✅ Civic education resources
✅ Hands-on learning opportunities for high school students

Every gift—large or small—is an investment in the future of our communities.

Has Your Teen Ever Dreamed of Seeing More Than Their Hometown?

For many students, opportunities to travel, lead, and experience the world beyond their community are limited.

The JURIS Project gives teens the chance to develop leadership skills, learn about law and government, compete in debates and mock trials, and potentially earn the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. as part of a national leadership experience.

Imagine your teen standing where laws are made, meeting leaders, building confidence, and discovering their future.

✨ Leadership Training
✨ Debate & Mock Trial Competitions
✨ Public Speaking Development
✨ Law & Government Education
✨ Mentorship Opportunities
✨ Potential Washington, D.C. Leadership Experience

Give your teen an opportunity that could change the direction of their future.
