The Foundation is happy to hear about a successful academic field trip funded by the John W. Harrison, Jr. Academic Field Trip Grant Program, one of three grant programs sponsored by the Foundation. Congratulations to the Johnston-McQueen Elementary School teachers who wanted this experience for their students and wrote a winning grant! Thank you also to the many donors who make these trips possible, expanding learning beyond the classroom.

Thank you, Whataburger, for supporting the Longview ISD Foundation, Inc. and Longview ISD teachers. Congratulations to Charles Mosley, Whatateacher and Lamplighter Award recipient from Forest Park Middle School. Gerard Osorio, eighth grader, honored Mr. Mosley and credited him with making him successful in the school’s Technology Student Association (TSA). Mr. Mosley saw great potential in Gerard and worked to develop his academic talent and leadership skills. Indeed, Mr. Mosley is a Whatateacher every day! 🏆
