❤️ SPECIAL PLEA FOR VOLUNTEERS! ❤️
At Connect Longview, we believe that no neighbor should have to face life's toughest challenges alone. Right now, three local families need our community to come together and lend a helping hand.
We've received referrals from partner agencies about seniors in our community who are facing overwhelming circumstances and need assistance making their homes safe, clean, and manageable.
🏡 A Devoted Caregiver: A mother with physical limitations is doing everything she can to care for her daughter, who recently experienced limb loss due to diabetes. They desperately need help moving furniture, removing old carpet, and cleaning their floors.
🏡 A Grieving Widow: After losing both her mother and husband in the same year, this widow is working to clean out her mother's home to prepare it for sale. Living on a fixed income, she needs a little extra help during an incredibly difficult season.
🏡 A Retired First Responder: After suffering a heart attack, this retired first responder needs assistance sorting, organizing, and removing belongings from his late parents' home before additional support agencies can step in.
💪 HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We're looking for compassionate volunteers willing to assist with:
✅ Light to heavy home cleanouts and debris removal
✅ Moving furniture and removing unwanted items
✅ Pulling up old carpet
✅ Cleaning floors and general household cleaning
✅ Sorting and organizing belongings
❤️ You don't have to be a professional. You just have to have a heart for helping others!
Whether you can spare two hours or an entire day, your time and effort can make an incredible difference in the lives of these neighbors.
These are real people, right here in Longview, who have spent their lives caring for others, serving their community, and supporting their families. Now it's our turn to show up for them.
