Grupo Folklorico Mexica de CSULB MEXICA Although facing many obstacles, they succeeded in bringing the group back to life on campus.

In the fall of 2010, Grupo Folklorico Mexica de CSULB was left as an inactive group, without an instructor, no money, few costumes, and five fresh students with a passion for dance. They chose one of their own to lead them through instruction, started promoting themselves through campus by participating and performing at other organizations events, and began doing several different fundraisers to

raise funds for the group's costumes. It has just been two short years since then and the group has already grown from five students and one level, to twenty-five students and two different levels from beginners to advanced. The group knows that obstacles will always exist, but it has made it its goals to continue through hard work to keep the group and its culture alive.
