Healthy Active Streets Long Beach based 501c3 servicing southern California.

Healthy Active Streets supports mobility advocacy that engages the community, empowers more residents as advocates and pushes for equitable resources and an inclusive environment from local government and transportation & healthcare agencies. We do this through providing free bike safety workshops, community bike rides, bike give-aways and creating micro bike share programs.

We will be there every third Saturday of the month from 9AM-12PM, our first event will be on June 20th!

Everyone deserves to have fresh, clean clothes 💖 We will be providing free detergent and paying for 2 loads of laundry while supplies last!

Every life lost on these streets had a name. Had people. Had a future. and rode through North Long Beach not to make noise — but to make sure nobody gets forgotten.
We stopped for an 8-year-old Jeremiah, a child who was just trying to move through this neighborhood like any child should be able to. Safely. Freely. Without fear. That baby deserved better. This community deserved better.
We stood at Artesia & Indiana with the ghost bike for Robert Neal. We didn't rush. We didn't scroll. We stood there and we honored him — because his life meant something, and these streets need to know that.
That's what this ride was about. Not anger. Dignity.
The dignity of saying — our neighbors are not statistics. Our community is not a footnote in a traffic report. The people we've lost were loved, and they are still loved, and we will keep showing up to say so.
North Long Beach deserves streets that protect its people. All of them. Especially the most vulnerable.

Our Seedball bike ride in partnership with 💕
What are seedballs? Seedballs can be made from clay, compost, and seeds. After they're made they can be tossed into any empty green space and with some time the seeds will bloom 🌱🌻

This ride started in Hollydale Regional Park and featured stops at Cudahy Library and Cudahy River Park.

We learned a bit about South Gate and the arts 🎨, the LA River🏞, and the native and non-native plants that surround the area 🌿 Riders were given their own seedballs to grow beautiful native wildflowers! 🌼

Missed this bike ride? Don't worry we have future bike rides lined up so stay tuned! These bike rides are free and for the community, you just need to pre-register beforehand. We'll also have registration available at the event if space permits, see you next time!
