In theatre, we’ve always known the power of a small ensemble to move hearts, shift perspectives, and spark action. Through advocacy and collective action, we can strengthen this tradition—ensuring that theatre education thrives and remains a powerful platform for empathy, dialogue, and social change.

There has been some confusion lately about the value of being a theatre kid. Let’s be clear.

Theatre kids are academically strong.
They are emotionally intelligent.
They are collaborative leaders and creative thinkers.

The evidence is overwhelming.
The impact is measurable.
The stories are undeniable.

EdTA stands proudly with theatre kids everywhere.

Join us by sharing what theatre taught you, and why you are proud to be a Theatre Kid.
