Established in 1946 by partners Donald Lindley and Walter Myers, Myers Spring Company has been faithfully attaining its founders goal to produce quality wire precision springs for 80 years.

Downtown Logansport continues to demonstrate the value of strategic public investment in creating a vibrant business environment.

Construction is underway on a new streetscape project along North Street from 4th Street to 6th Street, as well as along 5th Street to the adjacent alleys. Funded by the Logansport Redevelopment Commission, the project will modernize one of downtown's key commercial corridors while improving safety, accessibility, and the overall experience for residents, visitors, and businesses.

Project enhancements include:
• New decorative lighting to improve visibility for motorists and pedestrians
• Underground conduit that will eliminate overhead utility lines, creating a cleaner and more attractive streetscape
• New sidewalks designed to improve accessibility, safety, and walkability

In addition, the City-owned parking lot at the corner of North and 5th Streets will be reconstructed with new pavement and underground lighting infrastructure. Funding for this portion of the project was appropriated by the Logansport Common Council.

We're also proud that this investment is staying local. MR Louthain & Associates, Logansport Utilities, and Central Paving are leading the work, demonstrating the strength and expertise of our local contractors while supporting jobs and economic activity within our community.

These infrastructure improvements come at an exciting time for downtown Logansport. The corridor is experiencing renewed momentum through a growing mix of new and established businesses, a thriving live music scene, and new downtown residential developments in the pipeline.

Quality infrastructure is an essential component of economic development. Investments like these create an environment where businesses can grow, entrepreneurs can invest with confidence, and communities become more attractive places to live, work, and visit.

CLEDO and the Chamber of Commerce value its partnership with the Logansport Redevelopment Commission, the Logansport Common Council, and all of the local partners making this investment possible. When the Chamber of Commerce and CLEDO, along with the mall developer, released the vision for the old mall site, it came with both positive and negative feedback. We think the before and after pictures show the positive impact this development has on our community.

Our recently redeveloped mall has quickly become a major asset to our city. With significantly increased traffic and a noticeable rise in visitors, the improvements are contributing to renewed economic activity and a stronger local presence.

This growth is a positive step for our businesses, our residents, and the future of our community and we encourage everyone to take pride in the momentum our city is building.
