🍂 Fall Community Cleanup Days are coming! 🍂

Mark your calendars for November 6th & 7th as we come together once again for our community cleanup!

This fall, we’re adding something new — paper shredding! 🗑️📄 So whether you have items to clean up around your home, papers that need to be securely shredded, or simply want to lend a hand, we’d love to have you join us.

Let’s kick off our fall cleanup, take pride in where we live, and continue working together to bring beauty to our small town. ❤️💛

More details coming soon! Stay tuned for information on drop-off, paper shredding, and how you can get involved.

🎨 Help Us Bring Color to Logan!

The Logan IA Community Foundation is looking for community members who would love to help paint murals around town!

You don’t have to be an artist to help! The murals will be designed and traced out ahead of time. We’re looking for people with a steady hand, a willingness to pitch in, and an interest in working alongside others to bring these designs to life.

Whether you love being creative or simply enjoy helping make our community a little more beautiful, we’d love to have you on our team!

🍂 Our goal is to have at least one mural completed this fall, so we’re hoping to build our volunteer team soon and get to work!

🖌️ Interested in helping? Send us a message or comment below! Let’s work together to add some color, character, and community pride to Logan!

A trail years in the making deserves a celebration. 🥳👟

What started as a community vision is becoming a reality.

Logan’s trail system was identified as a community priority during the 2022 Iowa’s Living Roadways Community Visioning process, when residents expressed a desire for safer walking and biking connections—including a safe route to Logan-Magnolia Schools.

Since then, grants have been pursued, partnerships formed, local dollars raised and countless hours invested to turn that vision into reality.

Now, Phase 1 of Logan’s Safe Routes to School Trail is opening! 🎉

And we’re celebrating with a Turkey Trot! 🦃

Join us Saturday, November 21st:

🎀 8:30 AM — Ribbon Cutting
🏃 9:00 AM — 5K & 1-Mile Fun Walk

Plus, this event isn’t just about celebrating what we’ve accomplished. All money raised will go toward lighting the trail, helping us continue to invest in its future. 💡

Come be part of the next chapter of the Logan trail story!

One more ‘thank you’ post… huge shout out to the Panther Cross Country team! They happily jumped in and helped us pick up all 2,977 flags after their practice.

Thank you for helping! Thank you to the coaches! Thanks to the athletes! And thanks to the parents for raising great kids!

I’m not sure how channel 3 heard about our ceremony, but it’s pretty cool that they were there and did an article on it.

Thank you to the Logan Magnolia School, Logan Volunteer Fire Department, the Logan VFW, Mary Michael, Joe Gorman, the HS choir, and everyone else who made the ceremony so special.
