Friendly reminder from Harrison County Pheasants Forever.
Under Iowa Code 314.17, mowing roadside ditches and rights-of-way on state, interstate, and secondary highways is prohibited between March 15 and July 15. This seasonal ban protects ground-nesting birds, pollinators, and other wildlife during their peak reproductive and hatching season. This gives ground nesting birds like pheasants time to hatch their young and get out of the way of the mowers. We thank you for your cooperation!!

A big thank you to the Harrison County Conservation Board, Iowa for their generous donation to our banquet!

They have donated a $400 gift certificate for a weekend cabin stay at Willow Lake Recreation Area. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, relax by the lake, and experience one of Harrison County’s beautiful recreation areas.
