Happening this week ✨ Finnposium: A Finno-Ugric World Tour
What if “being Finnish” is part of something even bigger?
Across Northern Europe and beyond, there are cultures that share threads with Finland—languages, traditions, and ways of life that feel surprisingly familiar. These are the Finno-Ugric peoples—our extended cultural family.
This week, join Finlandia Foundation National’s Young Leaders Board member Gage “Touko” Keränen for a special Finnposium exploring these connections. Through travels in Estonia, Latvia, and Finland, Gage brings back stories, images, and encounters with communities like the Võro, Seto, Sámi, Livonian, Karelian, Komi, and Votic peoples.
It’s a chance to see your own heritage in a wider context—and to feel part of something larger, living, and deeply connected.
