Independent Community Bankers of Colorado

Independent Community Bankers of Colorado The Independent Community Bankers of Colorado is the largest banker trade association in Colorado. They answer to Main Street.

Community banks are an integral part of Main Street; they reinvest local dollars back into the community and help create local jobs. Their relationship banking philosophy is ingrained in the way they conduct business, one loan—one customer—at a time. Local reinvestment helps small businesses grow and families finance major purchases and build financial security. Community banks are also nimble in

using new technology platforms, supporting new methods of payments, and advocating tougher security standards to protect small-business owners and customers from hackers and other criminals. What Sets Community Banks Apart
➢ Local Focus: Community banks channel their loans to the neighborhoods where their depositors live and work, which helps local businesses and communities thrive.
➢ Relationship Banking: Community bank officers know their customers and may consider family history and discretionary spending in making loans. Loan officers at megabanks apply impersonal qualification criteria, such as credit scoring, without regard to individual circumstances.
➢ Provide Innovative Solutions: Community bankers work hand in hand with customers to ensure they have access to the best innovations possible to meet their needs – such as the most secure, reliable and convenient payment options.
➢ Lending Leadership to Small Business: According to the Federal Reserve’s 2016 Small Business Credit Survey: Report on Employer Firms, community banks are the small business lender of choice.
➢ Timely Decision-Making: Community banks offer nimble decision-making on business loans because decisions are made locally. Megabanks must often convene loan-approval committees that are located in another state, far away from their customers.
➢ Community Engagement and Accessibility: Community bank officers are actively involved in their local communities.
➢ Focus on Main Street: Community banks only thrive when their customers and communities flourish.

Independent Community Bankers of Colorado is pleased to welcome Iskratek as a new associate member.

Iskratek works alongside community banks with a clear understanding of how day-to-day work happens inside a financial institution. Their focus centers on helping banks make better use of the systems and information already in place while respecting the operational realities community banks face every day.

What stands out is their thoughtful approach to new technology. As conversations around AI continue across the banking industry, Iskratek believes those tools should operate within bank-defined rules and clear governance, not outside of them. That practical mindset feels especially important for community banks navigating change carefully and responsibly.

The company also brings deep experience in community banking operations along with years of work in data and analytics.

We are glad to welcome Iskratek to the ICBC community and look forward to the relationships ahead.

✨ We talked to Tim during a break at the ICBC Ag & Natural Resource Conference and he was kind enough to let us record a few of his answers. Thanks, Tim!

He echoes what a lot of 👉🏼 community bankers say about the reliance of the people in their community on a banker's knowledge of 📈 current conditions and projections.

Our conference is a one-stop-shop to hear from the experts on critical issues affecting customers. And it has been for 38 years now. 🌟

Tim's been attending for ten years now. And we look forward to seeing him again next April.

A victory for Colorado communities! 🌟

The Independent Community Bankers of Colorado applauds Governor Jared Polis for his veto of SB26-134.

This action ensures that Colorado's community banks can continue doing what they do best...lend to the small businesses and families in the communities they call home.

Thank you, Governor Jared Polis, for standing with Colorado's Main Street banks and the small businesses and neighbors they serve every day.
