“Your life won’t be in vain little one….your life won’t be in vain.”

Today, like I’ve done many times before, I made my way to a little lack-luster cemetery in a rough part of town to honor the life of a precious, beautiful little girl whose life was snuffed out 18-years-ago today.

Her memory has been in the recesses of my mind and heart as I fight for waiting kids since the day I held her in my arms and whispered to her that she was loved and that her life wouldn’t be in vain.

I wonder who she would have been, what she would be doing now as an almost 20-year-old young woman. What would she look like? How would she have changed the world?

Child abuse is real. It ends precious lives and it devastates families. And it robs the world of the very people who could grow up and change it. ❤️

Our David, AKA DKMarshmallow, has had a lot of disappointments in his life but he doesn’t let that fact keep him from encouraging others! He commented on our post from yesterday about Nathan’s award and his comment absolutely made Nathan’s day! (And ours!)

David’s comment gives just a glimpse into the impact that Nathan, our Heart Gallery photographers, PZ staff and volunteers, and DCFS staff have on the lives of waiting kids! They need to know that there are many people fighting for them every day.❤️

Thank you DK for your sweet words of encouragement! We love you and are looking forward to seeing you soon.

We are so grateful for Region 8 News and their heart for waiting kids! Joseph is 15-years-old and waiting for the right forever family.

For 15-year-old Joseph, growing up came much faster than it should have. He’s in foster care and searching for a family he can call his own.

To everyone who purchased gifts and sent cards, letters, and gift cards to Ella for her 15th birthday, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Disappointment, heartbreak, discouragement, and hopelessness are ever present in the lives of kids in foster care waiting to be adopted. Advocating for them, fighting to find families, and then watching plans crumble absolutely breaks us.

Ella experienced a big disappointment recently and she needed and deserved to know how special and valued she is. YOU helped make that happen. And we could not be more grateful!

Happy Birthday, Ella! So many people love you and are fighting for your future. ❤️

Our Kaitlyn! Thank you Laura Monteverde for your heart for waiting kids and for fighting to get them home. ❤️

Our Kaitlyn reached out to her very special friend and long-time adoption specialist today and ask if she could get her a special shirt for the ‘Disney’ event. Kaitlyn already has her outfit laid out for our upcoming event…down to the shoes. (And her shirt has been ordered!!🩷)

Kaitlyn’s 14th birthday is coming up in June! She wants to celebrate at a trampoline park with a cake, gifts, and fun! We’d love for you to help Katie celebrate by buying a gift for her from her Amazon wishlist🎂🎉🥳❤️: THANK YOU!!!

Corbin is the kind of kid who will keep you laughing with his quick wit and perfectly timed sarcasm. Beneath that humor is a deeply caring and loyal young man. He is incredibly protective of the people he loves and wants nothing more than to feel that same sense of love and belonging in return. Corbin dreams of being part of a full, active family—one with a mom, dad, brothers, sisters, and, if he had his way, a dog to top it off. He enjoys the simple joys in life, like a fresh haircut, his favorite meal from Wingstop, playing video games, and keeping his hands busy with fidget toys. Corbin’s future is full of possibilities. He does so well in school that advanced classes are being considered for him. Corbin is looking for a family that will be patient, understanding, and committed—a family who will celebrate his strengths, support him through challenges, and remind him every day that he belongs. In return, they’ll gain a funny, loyal, and big-hearted young man who just wants to be loved and to love in return. We would love to tell you more about him! Inquire below! We would love to tell you more about this amazing teen, so please inquire through our Arkansas Heart Gallery to learn more if you are an open and approved adoptive family.

Our Project Zero team in ‘knee deep’ in Disney Extravaganza prep! We have been for months, but the anticipation and excitement are building. We could not be more excited to bring waiting kids and waiting families together in a bright, beautiful, and magical environment that is life changing!

Our partners at DCFS are going above and beyond to do their part- almost 140 waiting kids are registered to attend -from every corner of our state.
Hundreds of volunteers from businesses, churches and organizations are letting their creative juices flow as they prepare to host Disney-themed booths filled with games, activities, and prizes! Contracts are being signed, tens of thousands of dollars are being spent, and bold prayers are being prayed.

BUT, if you are a waiting family in Arkansas, we need and want YOU to register to attend. This event is for YOU- to give you an opportunity to get to know waiting kids and DCFS adoption staff in a way that is not available in other areas. We can love on our kids, give them a bunch of goodies and amazing food, and spend the day building hope in them. But what they really want is a forever family. And they deserve nothing less.

So, please check your inbox for the invitation and registration link or look for a postcard in the mail- and register today. ❤️

SHINE!2025 was truly a sacred event. We could feel lives changing, walls falling, and hearts turning. Six of the twenty waiting kids that attended SHINE!2025 found their forever families that day. We were so moved and just so honored to have a small part in these beautiful stories.

Today, Miracle’s story entered a brand new chapter. Today, her adoption was finalized and her wait in foster care ENDED. Today, she is legally and forever a much-loved daughter. And we are beyond thrilled to say that we are
