Today we remember Dolly Parton not only for the music she gave the world, but for the millions of young imaginations she helped inspire.

Through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, she understood something we believe deeply at Inspiring Brushstrokes: a child's imagination is worth investing in.

A book can become an adventure. A box of crayons can become an entirely new world. A paintbrush can give a child a way to express something they don't yet have the words to say.

Dolly spent decades putting books into the hands of children and encouraging them to dream. At Inspiring Brushstrokes, we hope to carry a little of that same spirit forward by putting art supplies into the hands of children and giving them the tools to imagine, create, and discover what's possible.

What a beautiful legacy to leave behind... reminding generations of children that their ideas, their creativity, and their dreams matter.

Thank you for the music, the generosity, and most of all, for believing in the power of imagination. ❤️

Thank you Gifts that Give Hope Lancaster for the spotlight 🔦 We're so proud to be included again this year! We're a little blue that we could only participate online this year. We will miss seeing all of your beautiful faces in person, but our fearless leader Elizabeth is off to Yale! 🧑‍🎓🐶

🌟 THE MISSION & INSPIRING HISTORY
Founded in June 2024, Inspiring Brushstrokes is on a beautiful mission to ensure that no child is left without a creative outlet.
They provide age-appropriate boxes of brand-new art supplies directly to children from families facing economic hardships.
What makes this organization even more extraordinary is its founder, Elizabeth Roberts. Now just 18 years old, Elizabeth started this nonprofit as a high school junior at Warwick High School in Lititz!
Having experienced childhood poverty and trauma herself, Elizabeth intimately understands how vital art can be as a therapeutic tool, a coping mechanism, and a source of joy.
Turning her personal past into local purpose, she built this nonprofit from the ground up to ensure other children feel seen, appreciated, and inspired.

Happy National Nonprofit Day!

Today we’re celebrating the people who believe a little creativity can make a BIG difference.

Our mission is simple: Get art supplies into the hands of children who need them. 🖍️🎨✂️

Because a box of crayons is more than just crayons.
A paintbrush is more than just a paintbrush.
Art gives kids a way to create, imagine, express themselves, build confidence, and simply be kids.

Are you ready to rock the classroom this school year? Your supplies should be too! 📓📚✏️

This September, we will be distributing one of our largest box deliveries, containing over 1,000 art supplies to children of need within the Lititz community! Our Back-to-School box will include essential school supplies, along with canvas bags and canvas pencil pouches for kids to decorate. In the spirit of back-to-school, we would love to see the kids creations for their bags! Send us pictures of their decorated bags via email at [email protected] or DM us on socials, and we would love to share them with the community.🎨🍎

🎨🏡 What a wonderful day in the community!

A huge thank you to AAA Central Penn for sponsoring today's community event and inviting Inspiring Brushstrokes to be part of it! We loved helping children paint their very own birdhouses and watching their creativity shine with every brushstroke.

As if colorful birdhouses weren't enough, the kids also had the chance to meet and pet some adorable bunnies, making the day even more memorable.

We're so grateful for community partners like AAA who believe in bringing families together through creativity, kindness, and fun. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and painted with us. We can't wait to see those beautiful birdhouses become homes for our feathered friends! 💙🎨🐦🐰

It may be raining, but today felt beautiful because we just delivered boxes of art supplies to Lena at Off The Streets Lancaster PA! 🎨📦

When families move into new housing, children often need a little extra comfort, creativity, and joy. Thanks to this new partnership, art supplies will now be available for children as they begin their next chapter.

A special thank you to Gifts that Give Hope Lancaster for making this connection possible. Last year, they seated Inspiring Brushstrokes and Off The Streets together at their event. That simple introduction has grown into something meaningful for children in our community.

This is what collaboration looks like. Together, we're coloring brighter futures, one child at a time. 🖍️✨

We here at Inspiring Brushstrokes are excited to announce that we are partnering with Off The Streets Lancaster PA to help distribute more art supplies to families in Lancaster County! Off the Streets is another 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Lancaster County that assists unhoused families into permanent housing. Check out their website and socials to learn more about their mission. Our team is SWINGING into action this summer!🛝☀️🍉

This June, we will be distributing 70 art supply boxes, which will contain a total of 910 art supplies! We are totally stoked about this delivery and couldn’t have made it happen without our many community partners. This summer box will include two pinwheels, two birdhouses, a variety of art supplies to decorate the birdhouses and pinwheels, and sidewalk chalk. Stay tuned for more exciting news about community partnerships in the near future!
