**Beautiful, sweet, and full of energy, Danna is a lovely young Old English Sheepdog who is ready for a fresh start and a family to call her own!**

At just 1½ years old and weighing approximately 50 pounds, Danna has so much love and life ahead of her!

Danna came to New England Old English Sheepdog Rescue from the Wayne County Humane Society in Wooster, Ohio, along with fellow rescue girl Lainey. While we don't know much about Danna's past, we're looking forward to helping her find the bright future she deserves.

Danna is a friendly girl, although she can be a little timid, especially around unfamiliar noises and new experiences. She's still learning that the world doesn't have to be such a scary place. With a patient, understanding family to help build her confidence, we believe this sweet girl has wonderful potential to blossom.

Like most young sheepdogs, **Danna has plenty of energy!** She'll need a family that can provide exercise, attention, and the gentle guidance that will help her become a happy, confident companion.

Danna is already showing some wonderful qualities. She does well riding in the car and behaves nicely during visits to the veterinarian. She's also spayed and ready to begin the next chapter of her life.

With one beautiful blue eye, one warm brown eye, and 56 pounds of fluffy charm, Lainey is sure to steal your heart!

Lainey came to New England Old English Sheepdog Rescue from the Wayne County Humane Society. We don't know much about her past, but we do know that this sweet young girl deserves a wonderful future.

Lainey is friendly, although she can be a little timid, especially around unfamiliar noises and situations. She's still learning about the world around her and would benefit from a patient, loving family who will help her build confidence and feel safe.

At just 11 months old, Lainey has plenty of puppy energy! She'll need a family that can provide the exercise, attention, and guidance a young, active sheepdog needs. On the plus side, she's already shown that she does well riding in the car and visiting the veterinarian.

# # Meet Ellie – A Sweet, Gentle Soul Looking for a New Beginning! 🐾❤️

Beautiful Ellie is a 9-year-old, 85-pound Old English Sheepdog who is hoping to find a loving new home after a death in her family. This lovely girl has so much love to give and deserves a wonderful place to spend her golden years.

Ellie is a laid-back lady who enjoys the simple pleasures in life. She loves going for walks, spending time in a spacious yard, and relaxing on the sofa. One of her favorite pastimes is settling into her favorite spot on the couch and watching the world go by through the window. She's also a friendly hostess who happily welcomes visitors!

Ellie is housebroken and even rings a bell when she needs to go outside! She's crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and knows several commands, including sit, down, come, and touch — although, like many sheepdogs, she sometimes prefers to decide for herself when to follow them!

Ellie has no known medical issues and is well-behaved at the groomer, although she'd rather skip the nail trims, thank you very much! Loud fireworks can make her nervous, but having someone sit beside her helps her feel safe and reassured.

While Ellie has lived with other dogs, we believe she would be happiest as the **only dog in her new home**, where she can relax, feel secure, and enjoy all the love and attention she deserves.

**Ellie's ideal home** would be one with a loving family, a nice yard to enjoy, leisurely walks, and, of course, a comfortable sofa where she can keep an eye on the neighborhood!

New England Old English Sheepdog Rescue Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, all volunteer-run organization established in October 1994 and headquartered in Lincoln, Massachusetts.

History and Mission

• Roots: The organization traces its beginnings to 1964 when co-founder Annie "Grannie Annie" Raker began re-homing Old English Sheepdogs, officially launching NEOESR after three decades of independent rescue work.
• Mission: Dedicated to rescuing abandoned, mistreated, or unwanted Old English Sheepdogs and mixes, regardless of AKC registration status.
• Milestone: The group has successfully placed more than 2,000 dogs into new homes.

Operations and Atmosphere

• Foster Network: Rather than utilizing a traditional kennel facility, the organization operates entirely through a network of private volunteer foster homes.
• Evaluation & Care: Foster families carefully evaluate each dog's temperament, home manners, and compatibility with children or other pets.
• Veterinary Services: All rescued dogs receive comprehensive veterinary checkups, essential vaccinations, and mandatory spay or neuter procedures prior to being matched for adoption.
• Support: The volunteer team also provides guidance to current owners to help resolve behavioral or lifestyle hurdles, aiming to keep dogs in their original homes when safely possible.

🐾 MEET MOLLY 🐾

Are you looking for a best friend who’s always ready to be by your side? A loyal companion who hangs on your every word and just wants to share life’s everyday moments with you?

Then you need to meet Molly.

Molly is a 7-1\2 year-old, 30-pound Sheepadoodle with a heart as big as her personality. Her foster mom says it best: “This is one cool dog. Someone is going to be really, really lucky to get her.” And she means it. Molly is your typical sheepdog- curious and stubborn- in a pint size body.

Molly loves being with her person. Whether you’re running errands, working around the house, or simply relaxing on the couch, she’s happiest when she’s right there with you. She’s attentive, connected, and ready to build a true partnership with her forever family. She’s good on a leash, crate trained, and rides well in the car.

Because Molly has a strong herding instinct, she would do best as the only pet in the home — no other dogs or cats — where she can focus all her love and loyalty on her people.

🐾 MEET LENNY 🐾

Hi, I’m Lenny.

I am a 1 ½ year old Sheepadoddle and I looking for my furever home.

My foster mom said I could write my own story because I’m a good boy.

I know several commands: sit, down, stay, come, place and leave it. I’m crate trained and house trained.

I have 3 favorite toys my football, moose and lamb-chop. When you tell me to go get one, I get the right one. I also play fetch really well, I drop the ball when told drop, so you can throw it over and over again. I walk on a leash and love to go on walks. I also love to go on car rides.

Foster mom says I should be an only dog. Oh did I mention I like to cuddle. Look at my pictures, on the couch or the bed I’m a cuddle bug.

🐾 MEET LULU 🐾

A sweet senior girl looking for her furever home!

Lulu is a beautiful 11-year-young Old English Sheepdog who came into rescue after her beloved owner passed away. At about 60 pounds, Lulu may technically be a senior, but she certainly doesn’t act like one! She’s active, affectionate, and still loves getting plenty of exercise and enjoying life.

Lulu has a wonderful, loving disposition and enjoys being around people. She does great with male dogs and farm animals, but she would prefer a home without female dogs. She hasn’t had much experience around children, so we think a peaceful adult home would be the best fit for her.

She is currently loving life in her foster home on a farm, but Lulu doesn’t need a farm to be happy. An active household where she can get the exercise and attention she craves would be wonderful. A fenced yard would be a big plus!

Cat update! Lulu is fascinated by her foster family’s cat and loves to watch her, but she has never chased or tried to hurt her.

Lulu is fully housebroken, spayed, and up-to-date on her vaccinations, and she recently had a blood panel done. She also rides nicely in the car—although car rides aren’t exactly her favorite activity. She simply sits quietly and waits to arrive at her destination, with no crate needed.

And the way to this girl’s heart? Natural peanut butter! 🥜❤️

After losing her owner, Lulu deserves the chance to spend her golden years surrounded by love, companionship, and all the comforts of a home of her own.
