Yesterday, Miss Joanna Bully and her sisters had the beautiful opportunity to spend some precious time with the children at our orphanage. They played together, laughed together, and created wonderful memories that brought so much joy to the children.

Seeing the smiles on their faces and watching them enjoy these special moments truly touched my heart. As a ministry, we are deeply grateful for everyone who takes the time to love, encourage, and bring joy to our children.

Thank you so much, Miss Joanna, for your kindness, love, and generosity. Your presence means so much to our children and to all of us at Good Heart Ministry.

We also want to remind everyone that Joanna is one of our trusted interpreters who continually makes herself available whenever missionaries travel to Haiti to conduct medical clinics and spend meaningful time with our children. Her willingness to serve and her commitment to helping others are a true blessing to our ministry.

Thank you, Joanna, for continuing to stand with us and for being part of the Good Heart Ministry family. May God continue to bless you and your sisters abundantly!

❤️ Thank you for bringing joy to our children!

Congratulations to Erickson!

With an excellent score of 1,875 out of 2,700, Erickson successfully passed the official 9th-grade examination and has been admitted to 10th grade.

We congratulate Erickson on this wonderful achievement!

We also want to take a moment to thank you, our donors and supporters, who have invested your love, time, and financial resources in the lives of the children at Amos Sove Lavi (ASL) Orphanage in Pestel, Haiti. Your investment is helping these children continue to grow, learn, and prepare for a better future.

We encourage you to continue supporting the ASL Orphanage family, because every act of love and every contribution makes a difference in the lives of these children.

Thank you for believing in them, loving them, and standing with them. May God bless you abundantly!

Story behind our children:

Her name is Dieudeline.

She never had the opportunity to know her mother because her mother died when she was very young, leaving her in the care of a maternal cousin.
In 2018, her aunt went to the market in the town of Pestel. There was a woman I knew because I used to buy fruit from her. One day, she said to me, “Amos, I have four children of my own, and I also have two other girls who are the children of my cousin who passed away. I had to take them in and raise them with my own children. But life is very difficult for me, and I can no longer take care of all of them. I heard that you have an orphanage. Would you be able to take the younger one, who is one of my late cousin’s children?”
I asked her, “Why don’t you give me both girls who are orphans?”
She replied, “No, I will give you Dieudeline, the younger one. She is five years old.”
One Saturday morning, the woman came to the market with the little girl. I took a small boat, crossed the sea, and went to bring Dieudeline back with me. From that day on, she became part of the ASL Orphanage family.
We enrolled her in school and made sure she was safe and cared for. Today, she is in the sixth grade of elementary school and will soon turn 13 years old.
Dieudeline is very intelligent and does very well in school. Her dream is to become a nurse, and she is also interested in learning interior decoration. Her favorite style of clothing is wearing shorts with oversized T-shirts.
Because she wants to become a nurse, I recently sent a blood pressure monitor to Haiti. I am also going to ask a nurse who is a friend of mine to teach Dieudeline how to measure and monitor people’s blood pressure under her supervision.

Dayana, this little girl means a lot to me.
Anise, her mother has mental disorder .
She came from a very distant place with this little girl and ended up in downtown Pestel. She was sleeping on the streets with the child. One day, in August 2023 as I was passing by, I saw her and bought her a patty because she was hungry. I began asking her questions, and fortunately, I was able to understand what she was telling me. I felt compassion for her.

She told me that she wanted to give me her daughter. I asked her, “Are you sure that once you give her to me, you will not come to the orphanage and start throwing rocks, demanding that I return your child to you?” She said no. Instead, she told me, “Many other people have asked me for my child, but I did not give her to them. You, Mr. Amos, are the person I have decided to give my child to.”

Eight days before I left Haiti to come to the United States, I went to get the little girl, whose name is Dayana.

Dayana has a speech and language difficulty, and she has struggled with learning at school. However, being surrounded by the other children at the orphanage has been helping her language skills develop little by little.

Every time I look at Dayana, I thank God for putting this little angel in my path. Through Dayana, I feel that love truly exists. I believe it was God’s love that sent me to speak with Dayana’s mother. Today, August 22, 2026, Dayana has been part of this great family, ASL Orphanage, for 2 years and 11 months.

Thank you to everyone who prays for and supports this work. I will never stop saying thank you to Church Quake International, which has always been faithful in supporting us. Thank you to Carrie Rouse, Jennie, Belinda Reid, Christina Griffin, Ms. Ginger, the Mennonite Church family, and every person who continues to support the work we are doing in Haiti.

There is still so much work to be done before we can reach where we want to be. We ask you to please continue helping us in whatever way you can.
