Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Ohio currently serves children in Allen, Hancock, Hardin, Paulding, Putnam, and Van Wert counties. You’re not alone!

Our programs are about spending time with a child in a one-to-one relationship. We support match relationships in two different settings:

School-based: Bigs and Littles meet once a week in schools, libraries and/or at lunch, to talk and have fun. It’s not about being a tutor…it’s about being a friend – someone they can rely on to see every week. Community-based: Bigs and Littles meet 2 to 4 times a month and the time spent together is flexible to fit your busy schedule. Matches can hang out in the community and go to parks, sports events, movies, and more. It’s up to you and your Little! When you’re part of something Big, you’re not alone. Each match is supported by professional Match Support Specialists who regularly check in with volunteers, children, and parents, and are always available to answer your questions. Throughout the year your agency sponsors activities that you and your Little can participate in.

💚🖤 A BIG THANK YOU TO Big Sandy Superstore!🖤💚

✨ When a Little grows up to make a BIG difference, that's what mentoring is all about!✨

Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Ohio, Inc. is incredibly grateful to Big Sandy Superstore in Lima, OH, for their generous $2,500 donation and their commitment to investing in our community's youth! 💚

But what makes this moment even more special is the story behind the gift. ❤️

During our visit, Ms. Sara Ramirez, General Manager of Big Sandy Superstore, shared something that truly touched our hearts. She was once a Little in a Big Brothers Big Sisters program!🥹💚

Having experienced the power of mentorship firsthand, Ms. Ramirez understands how much someone believing in you, encouraging you, and showing up for you can impact a young person's life.

And now, she's helping make those same life-changing opportunities possible for another generation of Littles! 🌟

On behalf of Big Sandy Superstore, Ms. Ramirez proudly presented the $2,500 check to our Executive Director, Dr. Portia Smith, supporting our mission to ignite the power and promise of youth through mentoring.

🤝 his is more than a donation. It's the beginning of an AMAZING partnership!

We are excited about what the future holds as Big Sandy Superstore and Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Ohio work together to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families throughout our communities.

🛍️ NOW, WE HAVE A BIG FAVOR TO ASK OUR COMMUNITY!

The next time you're shopping for furniture, mattresses, appliances, or something special for your home, STOP BY Big Sandy Superstore in Lima!

Let's show our appreciation by supporting a business that believes in giving back! When local businesses invest in our children, they deserve our community's support in return. 💚

👏 THANK YOU, MS. SARA RAMIREZ AND THE ENTIRE BIG SANDY SUPERSTORE FAMILY!

Your generosity, commitment to community, and belief in the power of mentorship mean more than words can express.

💚 Once a Little, forever part of something BIG! 💚
