"In February I joined the Pittsburgh Plein Air Painters for the first time. We met on Polish Hill on a cold clear day amid the remains of the big snowstorm. With urbanscape, you have to be able to sort out a lot of visual information and simplify the elements that support your subject. Not every brick is necessary and powerlines can be left out, but don’t lose the urban feeling that drew your attention." Diane Grguras on her piece "On Polish Hill"
