We had a great October chapter meeting and really enjoyed our program, “Importance of Frontier Forts in the Ligonier Valley and Mathias Fisher, Revolutionary War Veteran, Early Settler and Farmer in the Ligonier Area," given by Mike Giogianni!

Our chapter had so much fun in the Fort Ligonier Days Inc. parade last weekend. A huge thank you to the chapter members who spent their time designing and making our incredible float! From Betsy Ross and Dolley Madison, to Rosie the Riveter and Astronaut Christina Koch, our float celebrated women throughout history! (Our Betsy was actually sewing a flag during the parade!) We were excited to win 4th place for our float! Fort Preservation Society, N.S.C.A.R., also joined us with their banner for the parade!

Several of our chapter members had a wonderful time on Friday with DAR sisters visiting from Kansas! They are descendants of Patriot Mathias Fisher, who is buried in the Old Ligonier Cemetery.

Earlier this month, a group of ladies from our chapter attended 130th Anniversary Tea of the Phoebe Bayard Chapter. It was such a lovely event and we had a wonderful afternoon! Congratulations on such a rich history and here's to many more!

We kicked off Constitution Week yesterday with our chapter meeting. Our SW District Director gave an excellent Constitution program, we welcomed a new chapter member, and one of our dear SAR friends and his son unveiled their rendition of Fort Preservation. After hours of research and plugging in information, they gifted our chapter their art. We are so grateful to have the amazing opportunity to envision the real Fort Preservation!
