On D-Day, we remember what so many people never had the chance to come home from—what it cost, what it changed, and what it still asks of us when we think we’re too busy to feel.

June 6, 1944 wasn’t just a date in a history book. It was men and boys stepping into the unknown with fear in their chests and duty in their hands. It was chaos and courage braided together, decisions made in seconds that cost lifetimes.

Somewhere out there, families waited and never received the words they needed most. Somewhere else, mothers and wives and fathers counted days that turned into unanswered prayers. Somewhere, a future was ripped away—not because the world didn’t need them, but because the world had demanded everything.

We don’t say “lest we forget” like it’s just a phrase. We say it because memory is the least we can offer for the lives stolen by war. We remember the ones who made it, and we honor the ones who didn’t—especially the ones whose names should never fade.

To the veterans—past and present—thank you for carrying what others couldn’t understand and surviving what others couldn’t endure. You did not just fight for a country. You fought for the right for strangers to have a tomorrow.

And to every family still carrying an absence that never really softens: your love mattered to them. Your grief is proof that their lives were real, and their sacrifices did not vanish.

Today, take a moment—quiet, personal, honest—and let the weight of it land. Honor them with respect. Speak their names. Teach their story. And hold the memory like a promise you intend to keep.

This weekend was not just a long weekend. 🇺🇸
Memorial Day is a time to slow down, reflect, and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to this country. Their sacrifice is the reason we are able to enjoy so many freedoms today, and their courage will never be forgotten. 🕊️

As we gather with family, friends, and loved ones, let us also take a moment to honor those who never made it home. Let us remember the sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, and friends whose lives were cut short while serving something greater than themselves. ❤️

To the families who carry that loss every single day, we thank you. We see your sacrifice too. Behind every fallen hero is a grieving family, a missing chair at the table, a life forever changed. Your strength, your love, and your endurance mean more than words could ever express. 🙏

Memorial Day is not about celebrating war — it is about honoring sacrifice. It is about remembering the people who paid the highest price for the freedoms we sometimes take for granted. It is about pausing long enough to say their names, carry their memory, and pass their legacy on to the next generation. 🌹

So this Memorial Day, may we be thankful. May we be humble. Maybe pray for those lost, those serving and those missing. May we remember that freedom is not free. And may we never forget the heroes who gave everything, or the families who gave them to us. 🇺🇸🕯️💙

We remember.
We honor.
We thank them.
We will never forget.

Good Friday is the day Christians set aside to remember the crucifixion of Jesus Christ—the Son of God—who willingly gave His life on the cross for the forgiveness of sins.🖤

According to Scripture, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and the penalty for sin is death. Yet in His mercy, God sent His Son to bear that penalty on our behalf. Jesus, who was without sin, suffered and died so that we might be reconciled to God and receive the gift of eternal life through faith in Him.

“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16

Good Friday is solemn because it remembers the suffering and sacrifice of Christ—but it is also filled with hope, because His death was not the end. Through the cross, we are offered forgiveness, redemption & new life.

May this day lead us to reflect deeply, repent sincerely, and trust fully in the saving work of Jesus Christ. ✝️
