Huge thank you to the thirteen Linganore High School National Honor Society students who helped pick up litter along Libertytown’s local county roads and also helped with the annual spring cleanup of Unglesbee Park by picking up a huge number of downed limbs and sticks and mulching around the picnic tables and playground equipment. Six adults of Libertytown Community Civic Assn also helped. A lot of hard work that greatly helped our community. We congratulated with refreshments at Libertytown Dunkin’.

Redistricting students means changing the school attendance boundaries to balance enrollment between schools, especially when new schools open.

The recent high winds blew down a large spruce tree into the parking lot at Unglesbee Park and earlier several dead ash trees into the west side of the park. Any help you can provide to cut up the trees and move the cut pieces into the woods on the east side of the park would be greatly appreciated.

May you have a wonderful Holiday Season.

Libertytown Community Civic Assn (LCCA) recently installed a Speed Feedback Sign (SFS) on MD-26 to improve traffic safety, through a new State Highway Administration (SHA) program and working with the Frederick County Government. The SHA program requires LCCA to purchase, install and maintain the SFS. Funding for the purchase was provided by Frederick County. LCCA volunteers installed the SFS and will also maintain it. LCCA is the first non-municipality in the State of Maryland to install a SFS under the new SHA program. We thank our volunteers, Frederick County and SHA for their support.
