Visiting Hours
Tuesday - Friday: 10 am - 6 pm
Saturdays: 10 am - 2 pm The Center is to open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. The Place Where Creativity GROWS! Visit our website for more information on visiting, planetarium shows, art exhibits, and so much more!

We’re almost 24 hours away from the kickoff of our Putt Putt Par-TEE Fundraiser weekend here at LASC! Just as a heads up, we will be closing early tomorrow (9/21) at 3 PM so we can switch over from museum mode to mini-golf fun!

Early bird prices are still available online — save a little $ by getting yours ahead of time OR purchase day-of when you arrive at our registration table!

Not sure where to park? Use our handy parking map to see where you can find the best spot (or utilize the Lextran LexRide services for FREE, with a drop off spot right around the corner from us at the historic Lyric Theatre!)

MORE THAN GOLF & GAMES ⛳️ This Friday is our second annual Putt Putt Par-TEE Fundraiser, and we’ve got more than just mini-golf in store! We’ve been hard at work getting ready for this night, and we can hardly wait to share it with you!

🎨 Cash in your tickets for a hand-drawn portrait from SouthernDrawlArts! Stop by our “photo booth” and you’ll walk away with a one-of-a-kind art piece to commemorate the evening (and you’ll have donated to furthering STEAM education…what a combo!)

🍻🥂 Stay cool & refreshed with craft beers and ciders available for purchase from Lexington, KY Brewery | Blue Stallion Brewing Co. and Wise Bird Cider Co.! It’s all about local love, and we’re very excited to have these vendors back for another year of our Putt Putt Par-TEE!

Discovery Saturday + Kentucky FIRST Robotics Takeover 🤖 August 15th, 10 AM - 2 PM

We’re doubling the fun this weekend at LASC: join us and all the other creative minds of Kentucky for an Inventors Workshop! Come dressed as your favorite inventor throughout history, get ready to build straight from your imagination in our TinkerLab, and say hello the amazing folks from Failing Formally of First Kentucky Robotics for an epic takeover featuring crafts, STEM kits, robot demos, and more!

We had such a great time at our Plein Air Painting Workshop on Saturday! Inspired by the theme “From Concrete to Creek,” participants spent the day painting outdoors and exploring the transformation of Town Branch from an urban corridor into a vibrant, natural waterway.

Artists who participated in the workshop are encouraged to submit their finished paintings by September 13 for the opportunity to be featured in this fall’s Art by Nature exhibition. We loved seeing how everyone’s experience at the park came to life through their artwork!

Our mission at LASC is to bring a little ✨ whimsy and wonder ✨into the lives of every generation with our year-round STEAM programming; by signing up for an evening of mini-golf at your local art & science museum, you’ll be a direct part of that mission! Yes, you heard right: your evening of fun will be the reason more families and folks across the region can access educational classes, workshops, and events from The Living Arts & Science Center…how chic is that?

August 21st - Adult Night / Putt Putt Par-TEE / 5:30 - 9:30 PM ($10 - Single Player, $50 - Team of Six)

August 22nd - Family Day / 10 AM - 2 PM ($25 - Family Group • includes museum entry and endless putt putt fun)

MAKERS & MEDIUMS 🎨 Saturday, August 8th at The Living Arts & Science Center | 10 AM - 2 PM

New friends and familiar faces alike will be setting up and ready to say hello TOMORROW at our next installment of Makers & Mediums! This is the perfect chance to get out, meet local artists and creatives, support your favorite art & science museum (with discounted admission!), and start your weekend on the right foot!
