Intimate partner abuse happens in all communities, including in Central Kentucky's LGBTQ+ community. Along with a community partners, The Nest - Center for Women, Children & Families is hosting "Breaking the Silence: Empowering LGBTQ+ in their Relationships." This event will support LGBTQ+ in learning new skills to improve the quality of their intimate partner relationships, accessing local resour

The House voted overwhelmingly Wednesday to make Juneteenth a national federal holiday, 415-14, and President Joe Biden is scheduled to sign the bill into law Thursday afternoon.

The Senate unanimously voted for the measure Tuesday. The bill now heads to President Joe Biden's desk, and Democrats hope he signs it into law by June 19.
