I am at the half way point of our six weeks working in India, Malawi, Tanzania and Burundi.
I spent three days in India where we had two Preachers Conferences and two Open-Air meeting.
The preachers Conference brought the preachers from churches in each region. We had four hours for these meeting. At the meeting I spoke about church history and the history of the Restoration Movement. The preachers were very receptive to the seminar on church history.
The Open-Air meeting allowed me to share the - What is the Gospel? - Seminar. These meeting took place in location where they would not draw the attention of local authorities.
We spent time with the Children at the CREST Children’s Home. The children sang and danced in a program for us. With the help of Tim Wells, Fox Creek Children’s Minister, I offered a children’s lesson on the Potter and the Clay.
I spent two days in Malawi. I was greeted warmly by the people and they were very interested in the Seminar materials. I taught: What is the Gospel?, What does it Mean to be a Christian? and Spiritual Growth. We ran out of time and plans are to offer Discipleship by Zoom.
When I returned to Dar es Salaam from Malawi, I was able to spend a half a day with Helman John. I offered the Spiritual Growth Seminar. We spoke in length about his work in the secondary schools where he is able to offer Bible classes.
I flew to Mbeya on August 9. From Mbeya we have offered seminars in this southwest area of Tanzania: Mbeya, Tunduma, Sumbawanga, Songwe and Njombe.
In Mbeya we were there for three days and offered seminars in: Stewardship, Personal Evangelism, Biblical Authority, Faithful to God, Being Christian Parents and Spiritual Immaturity. We also had an opportunity to teach on the radio and spoke on Unity. We also, delivered a guitar and keyboard from Instruments of Joy, a Nashville based non-profit, to be used in training musicians and worship leaders.
We were in Tunduma for three days. We offered seminars on: Spiritual Growth, Stewardship, Discipleship, Faithful to God, Biblical Authority, and Christian Parents.
We were in Songwe for one day and offered seminars on: Biblical Authority and Christian Parents.
We were in Sumbawanga and Njombe for two days in each location. We offered seminars on What is the Gospel?, What does it Mean to be a Christian?, Spiritual Growth and Discipleship.
All location were appreciative for the training, engages in the seminar materials and want us to return again.
Your prayers and support for this trip and the work of Mission Journeys is so very appreciated.

We have completed the work for our Philippines trip for 2026 and start the return trip tomorrow! It was a great pleasure to have Ivan Spencer from Fox Creek Christian Church in Lawrenceburg, KY join me on the trip and help with the college courses.
We left Lexington on April 21st and will return home on May 13th. We arrived in Ormoc City on Friday evening April 24th. We were blessed to be able to rest on Saturday and attend Ormoc City Christian Church. One of our students preached a great message on Epaphroditus from the book of Philippians.
On Monday, April 27th we started our first class on Church Leadership. We had 15 students attend the class. An Elder led leadership model was stressed over a Pastor led model. This has been a focus of my teaching here for several years to move them toward an Elder led Biblical model.
On Sunday May 3rd Ivan and I had the privilege to preach in different churches. Ivan gave a message on spiritual growth at Gabus Church of Christ. This is the new church plant Mission Journeys help by providing financial support.
I had the opportunity to speak at Sta. Rosa Church of Christ. We helped financially with the building of their new building. In the fall of 2025, their previous building was condemned after hard rains eroded the foundation to the point the building was not safe to use any longer. I preached on the greatness of the Church.
On Monday May 4th we started on second week of classes with a class on Church Administration. We focused on strategic planning and elements of Church administration. We had 16 students attend the class.
During each day of class, Ivan led a 15-20 session on healthy leadership. The students were very receptive and great discussion occurred.
Your prayers and support for this trip and the work of Mission Journeys is so very appreciated.

We completed an eight-day trip to Guyana on April 7-15, 2026. The team included: Dr. Patti Poczatek, Dr. Bill Poczatek, Jack Poczatek and Wayne King
We had three great days conducting the medical clinic. We saw over 140 people over the three days in the clinic. On one day a blood drive was held during the medical clinic. Members of the church gave blood including several of the team.
On Sunday Bill Poczatek preached the morning message. Wayne King taught two nights about being faithful to God for two nights. Both the Sunday Message and the teaching on being faithful to God was very well received.
Plan are already to return in early October.
