Caritas Care Solutions and Springhaven Inc. Announce Strategic Partnership to Strengthen Support for Kentucky Survivors
LEXINGTON, KY
Caritas Care Solutions, based in Lexington, and Springhaven Inc., located in Elizabethtown, have officially entered into a definitive agreement to unite their organizational strengths. Across the country, non-profit organizations face evolving funding landscapes and shifting reimbursement models.
In response, forward-thinking organizations are proactively joining forces to protect and sustain vital community resources. Caritas Care Solutions operates on a core philosophy of "collaborate, don’t duplicate," By adapting to changing donor trends and tighter grant frameworks, we ensure that all community resources and charitable contributions are maximized through strategic partnership.
Caritas Care Solutions is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization delivering innovative behavioral wellness and crisis stabilization solutions to individuals throughout Kentucky. Through direct services and strategic community partnerships, the organization serves as a critical conduit to immediate safety net supports, housing stabilization, and essential care for individuals and families facing acute crisis—particularly those with high-acuity behavioral wellness needs.
This new alliance ensures that Springhaven Inc. will seamlessly continue its lifesaving mission. Through combined operational efforts, Springhaven will remain a dedicated sanctuary, sheltering survivors of domestic violence and providing trauma-informed care for individuals healing from mental health conditions directly related to their survival.
By merging administrative efficiencies, both organizations ensure that frontline clinical care and emergency shelter resources remain robust, uninterrupted, and deeply rooted in trauma-informed practices.
J.L. Barrett, Chairman of the Caritas Care Solutions Board of Directors, issued the following statement regarding the partnership:
"As shifting reimbursement models and inflation demand greater administrative and technological infrastructure, nonprofits must collaborate rather than duplicate to protect our vital safety nets. By pooling our resources, infrastructure, and advocacy voices, we eliminate overhead costs to expand our geographic reach and guarantee uninterrupted, holistic behavioral wellness and shelter care for everyone we serve.”
This celebratory milestone marks a proactive step forward for both organizations, setting a benchmark for how regional non-profits can innovatively adapt to the changes in funding models, while keeping human dignity, behavioral wellness and survivor advocacy at the absolute center of their missions.
