Our very own Dr. Elizabeth Rhodus will be giving a talk on how to navigate changes associated with dementia through meaningful daily occupations. This talk hosted by Norton Neuroscience Institute, will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday November 11, 2026 from 12pm to 1pm. Congratulations to our lab member Riya Patel for presenting her research at the Annual Kentucky Rural Telehealth Summit last week! Riya spoke about how telehealth can be used for dementia care in rural communities.

We’ve had a busy fall here at the Engaged Aging Lab! Last week, our lab manager Kennedy Walcott-George and lab tech Andrea Hernandez presented research posters at national conferences! Kennedy presented at the Biennial Conference on Caregiving Research and Andrea presented at the US Consortium of Aging, Dementia and Latino Studies. Andrea also won the “Best Poster Award” in the “Dementia Caregiving and Psychosocial Interventions” category at her conference!

Congrats to both members on their achievements!
