When Hailey from Rae’s Reads reached out to us back in August, she had an idea for her Fall Book Market and wanted Friends of Lewiston Library to be part of it. She planned to donate half of the door admission to support our work, and of course, we were thrilled to be included!
At the time, we had no idea just how much this one event would mean for our library.
Hailey dropped off the check this week, and we’re so grateful. Between her donation and the money we raised at our booth during the market, we’ll be able to help fund so many more projects and programs at the Lewiston City Library. It’s exciting to think about all the good that will come from one event and the people who made it happen.
One of the best things about a community like ours is seeing people find ways to support each other. Hailey didn’t just put on a wonderful book market. She also made a point of supporting our library, and that means so much to us. We love seeing local businesses and community members find ways to give back to the place we all call home.
