During our open house, people got an ‘inside look’ at the forensic interview room and test out the new technology from a Department of Justice sub-grant...a rare chance to have some giggles in what is normally a space reserved for the most sensitive and hard conversations from child victims.

In the last year of operation, we have conducted 125 forensic interviews and partnered with 12 different jurisdictions - and as knowledge of our services grows, so does the need.

Today, we had the opportunity to host our first Minimal Facts Interviewing Training at our new building! First responders response is critical in preserving the integrity of child abuse investigations . We want our partners to feel confident in understanding developmental and social considerations when talking to kids.
It was a day of collaboration and strengthening our commitment to protecting children in our community.

After the training, our team got an inside look at the tools and equipment they use in their work.

A valuable part of the training was bringing our Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) together. When professionals from different agencies come together, we strengthen our ability to respond to child abuse cases and support children and families. Protecting children takes teamwork, dedication, and strong partnerships.

✨ We started operating out of the Carondalet House at St. Joseph's Regional Hospital in the Spring of 2025. ✨

The services we provided quickly outgrew the space, so we hopped around the corner to a new building that will host the necessary comprehensive services a child advocacy center can provide to children and families.

🎉 We will be having an open house later this month, but in the meantime - new referrals will be directed to our new address:
📍 625 5th Avenue
Lewiston, ID 83501

Support from SJRMC made this possible - and staying on-campus means we get to continue to serve our population with accessibility to the hospital, courts, and community agencies for our valley and rural jurisdictions.

Incredibly thankful!

Here are our winners! 🎉 Thank you to everyone who participated — we truly appreciate your support and involvement!

The pinwheel symbol goes deeper than positive childhood experiences — its shape and motion embody PCA America’s approach to prevention.

With families at the center, each turn of the pinwheel represents the systems, programs, policies, and everyday acts of care that strengthen families and help them thrive. From home visiting to health and economic policy, every turn unlocks new possibilities, showing how supportive systems and communities expand what’s possible for every child and family.

In many ways, the pinwheel is a call to action, highlighting the shared responsibility all our cross-sector partners have in centering families.
