Nez Perce County Historical Society Formally called the Luna House Museum, we collect, preserve and disseminate historical information about Nez Perce County.

The Nez Perce County Historical Society, Inc. & Museum centers on the history of the area before and after Nez Perce County began. The exhibits include geology of our area, the Nez Perce Tribe, Lewis-Clark, when and how Lewiston began, the territorial Capitol in Lewiston, agriculture, businesses, fire department, law enforcement, organizations, logging industry, women's history, depression, world wars, sports & recreation, Lewiston Roundup, Lewiston-Hollywood, rivers and transportation history. Also, in each exhibit rooms are hands-on stations for Preschool and up. Young Discover's Activity Journals available to find clues throughout the museum. After completion, you will receive a prize. Come and see our great exhibits and learn all about your local history. Our entry fees for adults is $6.00, youth (6-17yrs.) $4, and children 5 and under are free.

NPCHS extends its gratitude to the Alice Whitman Chapter of the DAR for conducting a flag ceremony and undertaking the fall cleaning of the Idaho Territory Capitol replica building on our museum campus today. We appreciate the DAR's continued volunteer efforts.

The NPCHS Museum is pleased to announce its participation in this year's fair, where we invite you to visit our booth from today until Sunday at 3pm. We would be delighted to welcome our supporters and showcase our new 2027 historical calendars, along with other exclusive items from our museum store, including huckleberry products.
