πŸŽ‰ CONGRATULATIONS, CLINT β€” ONE YEAR SOBER! πŸŽ‰

The Caldwell House would like to congratulate Clint on reaching ONE YEAR of sobriety! πŸ‘πŸ’™

One year represents so much more than a number. It represents 365 days of choosing recovery, showing up, pushing forward, and continuing to build a better life one day at a time.

We are incredibly proud of the progress Clint has made and, more importantly, the progress he continues to make. Recovery isn't about becoming perfect, it's about continuing to grow, learning from each day, and refusing to give up on yourself.

Milestones like this remind us why we do what we do at the Caldwell House. Recovery is possible. Lives can change. And there is always hope as long as you're willing to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Clint, we're proud of you and grateful to be a small part of your journey. Keep going, the best is still ahead! πŸ’ͺπŸ™

Please help us congratulate Clint on ONE YEAR SOBER! πŸŽ‰πŸ‘

The Caldwell House is looking for businesses willing to donate gift cards and other items!!

We are a nonprofit sober living facility for men, and we currently have 19 men calling the Caldwell House home.

We do much more than provide a place to sleep. We provide food, transportation to look for employment and get back and forth to work, transportation to and from 12-step meetings and most importantly, a safe and stable environment where these men can build a strong network and foundation for their recovery.

We have our Charity Golf Tournament coming up October 3rd, and we’re currently looking for local businesses willing to donate a couple of gift cards or other items that we can use to put together baskets to auction off at the tournament.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps us continue doing what we do and investing in the lives of men working toward a better future.

If you own a local business, work for one, or know someone who may be willing to help, please reach out to me or the Caldwell House!

We truly appreciate this community and everyone who continues to support our mission. β€οΈπŸ β›³

πŸŽ‰ THE CALDWELL HOUSE WOULD LIKE TO CONGRATULATE CHRIS! πŸš—πŸ‘

We couldn’t be more proud to celebrate another huge milestone in Chris’s journey!

After putting in the work, staying focused on his recovery, taking care of the things he needed to take care of, and finally getting the opportunity to have a hearing to restore his driving privileges, Chris was approved to get his license back and now he has purchased his own vehicle!

To some, this may look like just a car. But in recovery, we know it represents so much more.

It represents freedom. Independence. Responsibility. Hard work. Progress. And another step toward rebuilding a life.

Recovery doesn’t happen overnight. It happens one decision, one goal, and one accomplishment at a time. Getting a job. Saving money. Paying off old obligations. Getting a license restored. Buying a vehicle. Learning to stand on your own two feet again. Every one of these victories matters.

And one of the greatest parts of recovery is watching the circle come full circle. There was a time when Chris had to depend on others for rides and help getting where he needed to go. Now, he has the opportunity to turn around and be that helping hand for someone else who is walking the same road behind him.

That’s what recovery and community are all about: someone helps us until we can help ourselves, and then we reach back and help the next person.

Chris, we are proud of the work you’ve put in and the progress you continue to make. Keep moving forward, one step and one day at a time. This is what rebuilding a life looks like.

Please help us congratulate Chris on another well-earned milestone! πŸš—πŸ’ͺ

Progress, not perfection. One step at a time. One victory at a time.

πŸ‘ THIS is what progress looks like! πŸ‘

The Caldwell House would like to give a huge congratulations to Josh McClure! Five months ago, Josh was still caught in active addiction. Today, after putting in the work, staying focused on his recovery, working, saving his money, and making better decisions, he has officially bought and paid for his own vehicle! πŸš—πŸ’ͺ

It may look like a car to some people, but to us, it represents so much more. It represents hard work, responsibility, independence, consistency, and another step toward rebuilding a life.

Since coming to the Caldwell House this time, we've watched Josh make tremendous progress. Recovery isn't just about putting down drugs and alcohol, it's about learning how to live again. It's about setting goals, becoming responsible, rebuilding relationships, handling your finances, showing up when you're supposed to, and doing the next right thing even when nobody is watching.

Josh, we're proud of you, brother. But we're not finished yet! We're standing behind you and rooting for you as you work toward the next big goal, getting your driver's license restored and getting back behind the wheel legally.

Keep putting one foot in front of the other. Keep listening to your sponsor. Keep leaning on the people who support you. And most importantly, keep doing the work.

Five months can change a whole lot when somebody becomes willing to change their life.

One day at a time. One goal at a time. One victory at a time.

Congratulations, Josh! The entire Caldwell House family is proud of you, and we're just getting started! πŸ™πŸ’™πŸ’ͺ

πŸŽ‰ CONGRATULATIONS, CHRIS! πŸŽ‰

The Caldwell House would like to take a moment to recognize and congratulate Chris Lee on a huge milestone in his journey!

Chris became a resident of the Caldwell House in July 2025, and since then, we have had the privilege of watching him put in the work, not just talk about change, but actually do what it takes to build a better life.

Chris has worked hard, saved his money, paid off fines, completed assessments, handled the necessary requirements, and stayed committed to his recovery. Step by step, he worked toward something that once may have seemed a long way off: getting his driver's license restored after more than 20 years without it.

After all that hard work, Chris finally received his hearing and was awarded the opportunity to get his license back! πŸ™Œ

This picture represents so much more than a piece of paper or a driver's license. It represents freedom, responsibility, perseverance, independence, and another door opening because someone was willing to put in the work.

Recovery isn't only about putting down drugs or alcohol. It's about rebuilding a life, taking care of the things we once neglected, becoming responsible, setting goals, and following through even when the process is long and difficult.

Chris, we are incredibly proud of you. You've earned this moment. Keep moving forward, keep doing the next right thing, and keep showing others what is possible when we become willing to change.

Please help the Caldwell House congratulate Chris Lee on this incredible accomplishment! πŸ‘πŸŽ‰

One day at a time. One decision at a time. One milestone at a time. Recovery makes a new life possible. ❀️πŸ’ͺ

We’re thrilled to announce the hiring of Ben Schmidlin as the new Director’s Assistant at Caldwell House!

Ben has worked in several different spaces assisting and supporting individuals in recovery, bringing both experience and a genuine passion for helping others rebuild their lives. His heart for service and dedication to recovery make him a valuable addition to our team.

Welcome to the Caldwell House family, Ben!

My name is Ben Schmidlin, and I am thrilled to join the team at the Caldwell House.
As someone who was raised in Caldwell County, I am passionate about our county having resources for recovery.

I began my career in 2021 at Brunswick Christian Recovery Center as the Kitchen Manager and quickly transitioned into the role of executive assistant to the CEO. Over the years, I have worked in numerous positions supporting both adolescents and adults in recovery. I most recently served as the Assistant Manager at New Beginnings of Hickory where I worked with leadership to ensure the daily operations of the program. I hope to bring my knowledge and experience from my past roles to the Caldwell House.
