Mission Minded “Little children, let us stop just saying we love people; let us really love them, and show it by our actions.” 1 John 3:18

MISSION MINDED is simply an expansion of the Youth Missions of Mountain Grove Church, which is located in Granite Falls, NC. While Mountain Grove Youth are still very active with local missions, our group has a deeper desire to expand outside of our local church and beyond the age limits of a “Youth” Group to include anyone with a heart to serve.

Since we have not updated in a while, we wanted to post a quick "thank you" to all of you who continue to donate to Mission Minded. We are blessed to report that we have had funds available to help numerous situations over the past several months. We have provided financial assistance to several individauals who have volunteered their time to spread the gospel via summer mission trips. These trips included Kenya, various parts of North and South America, and Indonesia. In addition, we have provided financial support to individuals within our local community who have encountered hard times. These situations include: a young lady's airline ticket to the Mayo Clinic to meet with a gastro specialist, funeral expenses for a family who lost two family members in a tragic automobile accident, a car payment for a couple who have missed a great deal of work due to the wife's ongoing fight with breast cancer, a grocery gift card for a young grandmother who is the sole guardian of a severely autistic grandson, a grocery gift card for a beautician who was forced to miss work after a double mastectomy.

We encourage all of you reading this post to make us aware of legitimate needs so that we can help. As long as the funds exist, we will continue to assist. Please understand that for tax-exempt purposes, we are cautious to not do too much for any one family/individual. We must have good information that the need is real and we never give cash (unless it is a reimbursement and we have proof of the payment).
