Fueling our amazing educators for a big year ahead!

Although the start of the school year always brings a wonderful whirlwind, we wanted to take a moment to look back and celebrate our incredible LaGuardo Elementary teachers! On the day of Open House, our staff was treated to a delicious Welcome Back Breakfast that gave everyone the extra energy needed to power through a long, exciting day of welcoming our Captains back to campus. ⚓️❤️💙

We are so grateful for our dedicated teachers who pour so much love, energy, and heart into making LGE such a special place for our students every single day!

What better way to launch into a bright new year than by coming together for our Kindergarten Boohoo/Woohoo Breakfast!

Whether you’re shedding a few tears 😥 because your little one is growing up or cheering 🥳 because the kids are back in school, this event is for you! Come connect, meet other kinder families, and learn more about volunteer opportunities, our school, and the PTO crew as we build on our strong foundation and shine together.

As we kick off a fantastic new school year, we want to give our newest little stars a sweet welcome!

While you're at Open House, pop outside to the playground for Popsicles on the Playground! It’s a special time exclusively for our kindergarten families to grab a free treat, cool off, and meet & mingle with fellow kinder parents and classmates before the big journey begins.

Let’s kick off a brand-new school year by creating bright traditions together! ⚓️✨

Join us for Chalk the Walk at LaGuardo Elementary! Last year, we built this incredible community together—now watch us shine as we fill the sidewalks with bright, uplifting messages and colorful artwork to welcome our students, teachers, and staff back for an amazing new year!

What is "Chalk the Walk"?
It’s a fun, come-and-go event where families and friends gather to cover the school walkways with positive notes, drawings, and words of support. Imagine the smiles on our students' and teachers’ faces when they walk up to school on their first day and see a path made entirely of encouragement!

The Details:
Date: Sunday, August 2, 2026
Time: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
(Please note: chalking is strictly limited to these hours!)
Location: LaGuardo Elementary School sidewalks
(We will have volunteers to help direct you to the best spots for messages.)
BYOC: Bring Your Own Chalk!

A Few Quick Notes:
Sidewalks Only Please: Keep all chalk on the concrete walkways and sidewalks! Please do not chalk on brick walls, columns, doors, or other surfaces.
Come & Go: Stop by anytime between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to leave your mark.
Restroom Access: Please plan ahead as the school building will be closed during the event and restrooms will not be available.
Open to Everyone: Parents, siblings, grandparents - all are welcome to join!

Let’s make new memories and start this year off with giant smiles and bright sidewalks! We can’t wait to see your creativity on display! 💙
