American Indian Council Inc. AIC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and educating on Native American Heritage. Annual Pow Wow hosted third weekend in August.

We meet every third Sunday at 1:30pm at Thorntown Public Library. Located in Boone County, Indiana.

We want to share a big THANK YOU, miigwech, to our 44TH Annual Pow wow sponsors!

Timmons Feed & Farm Supply, El Meson-Lebanon, KC Transport and The Thorntown Heritage Museum. Of course, we also thank each and every person who attended our dine-to-donate events, contributed something to our pow wow or simply shared our posts.

Today, we are introducing other very important members of our pow wow staff.

Our Emcee this year is Leroy Malaterre. Leroy is our Chairman Emeritus, one of our founders, and a grandfather to many of us in the council.

Our Arena Director this year is Joseph Hartzburg. Joey serves as one of our members-at-large and is a very active member in our council.

These two gentleman will be responsible for guiding our audience and our dancers to ensure the event is run smoothly, cultural protocol is followed, and our guests understand what is happening. Please help us thank them for there important service to our pow wow and our organization.
