Here we go. It's Red River Weekend! The teams have been selected and pairings are set. Oklahoma and Texas VGA golfers will collide at The Bridges Golf Course in Gunter Texas to establish bragging rights for the next 12 months. If you're Team Oklahoma reply with “Go Oklahoma” and if your Team Texas reply with a “Hook em”

Let’s bring that trophy back home to where it belongs.

Good afternoon, we wanted to take a moment and place our fall schedule on here for you all to see. We are about a month into the 2027 season and we have already played 6 events. We have 11 that are scheduled and depending on what the weather does in Nov-Dec-Jan will dictate the remaining Fall/Winter Schedule. We want to welcome all new members and welcome back some of the old members from the past. We have grown into a great organization here in Oklahoma, we do that by you as members going out and spreading the word. THANK YOU!

A few things we need to remember now that we are in the 2027 season.

1. you have four events to select your division Veteran or Senior if you are over 50 years old. once you play your 4th event it will lock and that is the division you will play for the year.

2. If something comes up and you cannot make it to an event after you have registered, please do not go in and cancel your event. If you cancel your 20.00 registration will not be able to transfer. Event registration fees for VGA events are nonrefundable but are transferable in the SAME SEASON if the player contacts the VGA leader prior to registration closing for the event. ONLY ONE TRANSFER IS AUTHORIZED PER EVENT REGISTRATION FEE. VGA Leaders lose the ability to transfer registration fees after they have been transferred within Golf Genius.

3. Please do not forget we are always pushing pace of play. we know everyone wants to play at a reasonable tee time, not to be rude but if you want at the front of the tee sheet get better with your speed of the game. We want to try and finish the round no more than 4.5 hours.

4. The VGA handicap will be validated once three official VGA rounds have been played. For new members the directors will flight you in a No Handicap Flight until you have played three events.

5. If there is a course that you would like to play and have a connection please let one of the VGA leaders know and we will reach out to set something up.

There is so much more to cover, please review the 2027 Players Manual on the link that I have provided. I have also attached our Fall/Winter 2027 Schedule remaining events. We hope that your season is great and that you make new friends across the country. If you have any questions please fill free to reach out to the State Directors on the schedule. We look forward to seeing you and having a great time in 2027..
