Today we’re recognizing two incredible volunteers, Christine Young and Alyssa Sanchez, for their dedication and commitment to the children we serve.

Through their compassion, advocacy, and countless hours of service, Christine and Alyssa have helped ensure that children in foster care have a voice and someone standing beside them during difficult times. Their willingness to step up and make a difference has brought hope, encouragement, and support to so many young lives.

At CASA of Southwest Oklahoma, our mission is simple but powerful:

To provide specially selected and trained community volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children so they may find safe, loving, and permanent homes.

When a child enters the court system, they often face uncertainty, change, and challenges that no child should have to navigate alone. That's where CASA volunteers step in.

Appointed by judges, CASA volunteers serve as a consistent voice for children, ensuring they don't get lost in the complexities of the legal and social service systems. They gather information, build relationships, and advocate for what is truly in the child's best interest.

Most importantly, CASA volunteers stay by a child's side throughout the case—until they are placed in a safe, permanent home.

For many children, a CASA volunteer becomes the one constant in their lives. The one adult whose sole focus is their well-being, their future, and their voice.

What Does CASA Do?

CASA of Southwest Oklahoma is one of 19 local CASA programs serving children across Oklahoma.

As a nonprofit organization, we recruit, screen, train, and support dedicated community volunteers who advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect and are involved in juvenile deprived court proceedings.

Our CASA volunteers are often the consistent voice and caring presence a child needs during one of the most challenging times in their life. They gather information, build relationships, and make recommendations to the court to help ensure every child has the opportunity for a safe, permanent, and nurturing home.

CASA- Who we are:

We are dedicated to improving the lives of the children in the Oklahoma foster care system in Comanche, Cotton, Greer, Jackson, Jefferson, Stephens, and Tillman Counties. Our specially trained volunteers strive to become a positive, stable influence for children while ensuring they have a voice in the courts and the services they need for a stable future.
