IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM THE LAWTON FOOD BANK

Beginning Monday, June 15, the Lawton Food Bank will temporarily move back to a drive through distribution process as our lobby continues to dry out following the recent flooding. Our building is still occupied with fans and dehumidifiers as cleanup and remediation efforts continue.

To help the line move as quickly as possible, we ask all clients to please have their ID out before reaching check-in.

We are also looking for volunteers to help with distribution and cleanup on Monday 3-6pm and Tuesday 10:00am-2pm. No need to sign up in advance, just show up! Bonus points if you bring a mop with you. ⭐️

We are incredibly grateful for the support, patience, and kindness our community has shown during this unexpected situation. Thank you for continuing to stand with the Lawton Food Bank as we serve our neighbors in need.

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible community partners who graciously brought fans to the Lawton Food Bank and supported our water remediation efforts after the flooding damage.

We are also so thankful for everyone who showed up with fans and stepped up financially when we need it most. It is amazing to see how our community comes together to support one another!

This summer, the need at the Lawton Food Bank has grown faster than we’ve ever experienced before. Every week, we are meeting new families who are doing everything they can to stay afloat but rising costs are making it harder and harder.

One mom recently shared that after paying rent, utilities, daycare, and gas to get to work, she simply didn’t have enough left to keep groceries in the house for the week. She works hard every day, yet still found herself sitting in our parking lot wondering how she was going to feed her children dinner that night.

Stories like hers are becoming more common.
The reality is that hunger doesn’t always look like what people expect. Many of our clients are hardworking families, seniors, veterans, and parents doing their very best.

Right now, we need our community’s help.
Just $30 provides a week of groceries for a family in need.

If you’ve ever wondered whether your donation makes a difference, it does. Every single dollar helps put food on a family’s table.
Together, we can make sure no family in our community goes hungry this summer.

HELP US SUPPORT THE LAWTON FOOD BANK!

Lawton Community Theatre is hosting a donation drive throughout the run of Oliver! and invites patrons to help make a difference in our community.

As summer begins, many children lose access to the school meals they rely on during the academic year. This places added strain on local families and increases the need for food assistance. To help meet that need, we will be collecting both monetary donations and requested items for the Lawton Food Bank.

Most Needed Items:
• Peanut Butter & Jelly
• 100% Fruit Juice
• Canned & Boxed Goods (Pasta, Rice, Hamburger Helper, Rice-A-Roni, etc.)
• Diapers (Sizes 5–7)

The Lawton Food Bank also accepts unopened, unexpired food items, full-size hygiene products, diapers, and baby wipes.

Join us every Wednesday in June at 9:30 AM in our conference room to learn simple, healthy, and budget friendly meals your family will love. 🥗👩‍🍳
