Did you know? Father’s Day has roots at the YMCA. More than 110 years ago, Sonora Smart Dodd, who was raised by her single father, wanted to create a day to celebrate fatherhood. The first Father’s Day celebration was held at the Spokane YMCA on June 19, 1910.
