Your student may already be building toward a Florida Bright Futures Scholarship. Across Florida, students are putting in the work, earning strong grades, and gaining experiences
that can lead to real scholarship support after high school.

Funded by the Florida Lottery, Bright Futures Scholarships help students continue their education through college, technical programs, or industry certifications that lead to meaningful careers. The Consortium of Florida Education Foundations, in partnership with the Florida Lottery, is helping families turn that progress into opportunity.

Take the next step to activate your student’s pathway. Complete the Florida Financial Aid Application by August 31 after graduation.

Recently, our CEO, Kim Jowell, joined education leaders as a panelist for United Way Suncoast’s Real Talk on Education: Bridging the Gender Divide webinar to discuss strategies helping students thrive in Pinellas County classrooms and the long-standing work of our Closing the Gap initiative.

Meet Jaylen, a senior at Boca Ciega High School. She will graduate with her CNA certification and is already preparing for what comes next. This summer, she will begin training with the Army Reserves before attending Albany State to study psychology and criminal justice. Her goal is to become a criminal psychologist, where she hopes to help prevent crime and create safer communities.

Jaylen has been part of Take Stock in Children since seventh grade. Along the way, she leaned on her mentors for guidance and support.

“Take Stock in Children is more than the money. It’s all about making sure you’re on the right path and everyone is supportive of your dreams and helping you get to the next level.”

Now, Jaylen is stepping into a future focused on service, growth, and impact.
