It’s race day for our runners and walkers!! 🏃🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Our 5K 4 the Kidz run/walk/virtual event is today, June 6, 2026, at 9am at Rowden Park in Lapeer (across from the hospital). There's still time to register in person this morning and join us for a morning of fresh air, exercise and community involvement/support. Open to all ages, abilities and fitness levels.

We aim to make a significant difference in the lives of the children in our community. All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Kiwanis Inclusive Playground.

The 5K 4 The Kidz is on Saturday June 6, 2026. It includes the following events: 5K Run, 5K Walk, and Virtual.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our valued Kiwanis members and friend, Matt Rodda, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Matt was a dedicated member of our Kiwanis family and a true example of service, kindness, and community spirit. You likely saw Matt and his wife, Jen (also a Kiwanian) at many, if not all, of our annual fundraisers. His impact will be felt for years to come, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Matt’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. Please join us in keeping them in your thoughts and prayers.

The Kiwanis Club of Lapeer has secured $25,000 in playground equipment after winning the 10th annual Legacy of Play Contest, bringing the organization closer to completing an inclusive play space at Rowden Park.
