Stop by the deAngeli branch tomorrow, Saturday March 14 from 12 - 4 PM to celebrate the birthday of our namesake, Marguerite de Angeli!

Learn about the history of her ties to Lapeer, tour her illustrations on display around the branch and enjoy some birthday cake in honor of our favorite author!

❤️ Anthony Herbert Memorial Student Heart Check Program ❤️

Join us in honoring the life of Anthony Herbert, a former Lapeer High School graduate who tragically passed away at just 20 years old due to a sudden cardiac event. To honor his memory, the McLaren Lapeer Region Foundation and Lapeer Optimist Club have partnered to provide FREE heart screenings for students aged 13 to 17.

This vital screening includes a family history questionnaire, an EKG, and an echocardiogram, taking about 20 minutes to complete. Let's ensure our youth's hearts are healthy and strong!

Join us this Saturday for an opportunity to de-stress and unwind in a cozy, relaxed setting.

Enjoy hot chocolate and light refreshments while doing cozy activities like puzzles and coloring with relaxing music. You can even bring a that crochet or knitting project you’ve been meaning to finish or settle in with a book for some relaxing reading!

We were disheartened to learn that those on Food Assistance may not be able to access their benefits, and we never want anyone to go hungry.
Next Tuesday, starting at 3PM, Woodchips BBQ (supported by Lightning Rounds and Kookys N Cream) will be providing approx. 200 free Carry Out chicken dinners to anyone in need of a hot meal. No questions asked.

Additionally, we would like to highlight and support some amazing local charities that offer to support to those hitting a rough patch. So we will be collecting donations and we will MATCH $ for $ up to $1000 for Stone Soup Food Bank, Good Samaritans, and The Refuge

While it's been a tough stretch for a lot of people and businesses, together, as a community, we can always look out for and take care of each other.

If Food Assistance continues to remain in Jeopardy, we will look to make this a weekly event until they are restored.
