 IT’S THE SOUL! đŸ”„

Last night’s lesson took us straight into Genesis 4 and the story of Cain and Abel
 and reminded us that sometimes the problem isn’t what’s happening around us, but what God is trying to address within us.

Cain knew how to cultivate the ground, but struggled to cultivate his own heart. His rejection revealed his arrogance, Abel’s acceptance exposed his jealousy, and what Cain refused to confront inside himself eventually affected everything around him.

💡 “Cain would rather eliminate Abel than examine Cain.”

Before we blame the environment
 check your soul.
Before we blame the people around us
 check your soul.
Before we ask God for another field
 check your soul.

Because a new field won’t fix an old heart.

đŸ”„ WHAT A WORD LAST NIGHT! đŸ”„

Last night, our Pastor preached a powerful message entitled “Don’t Forget the Purpose of the Cave” from 1 Samuel 22:1–2, reminding us that sometimes there is a cave between the pasture and the palace.

David was already anointed, but God still used the cave to develop the character, leadership, discernment, and maturity necessary for where He was taking him.

The cave didn’t cancel the Crown
 it developed the character necessary to carry it! đŸ™ŒđŸŸ

Whatever season you’re in, don’t despise the in-between. God may be building in you today what your next season will demand!

đŸ§© TRUST THE ONE WHO SAW THE PICTURE
📖 Ephesians 2:10

Tonight’s lesson reminded us that we see the pieces, but God sees the picture.

Some pieces of life are beautiful. Others are painful, confusing, embarrassing, and downright ugly. They’re the pieces we would rather leave in the box and never talk about again.

But if God is the Master Puzzle Maker, even the ugly pieces have a purpose.

We learned three simple truths:

đŸ§© The Puzzle Maker starts with a picture.
God knew what He was making before we ever saw the pieces.

đŸ§© If the piece doesn’t fit, don’t force it.
Sometimes you’re not the wrong piece—you’re simply trying to fit into the wrong place.

đŸ§© There are no extra pieces.
God can use the good, the bad, the broken, the painful, and even the parts we wish had never happened.

Ephesians 2:10 declares that “we are His workmanship.” That means God isn’t randomly putting our lives together. There is intention behind His hands.

So when you can’t understand the piece you’re holding, TRUST THE ONE WHO SAW THE PICTURE.

And don’t throw away the ugly pieces


God may use the very piece you wanted to hide to complete a part of the picture you couldn’t yet see. đŸ§©đŸ™ŒđŸŸ

Sermon Recap: Cover Me While I Recover

📖 Genesis 9:20–23

This week we explored a powerful truth: Everybody who sees your weakness is not assigned to announce it.

In a culture that profits from exposure, Genesis 9 reminds us that God calls His people to restoration. Ham saw Noah’s failure and spread it. Shem and Japheth saw the same thing, but they carried a blanket instead of a broadcast.

We learned:

✅ A bad season does not equal a bad destiny.
✅ Not everybody who knows your story is assigned to tell it.
✅ God will place “blanket carriers” in your life who choose grace over gossip.
✅ The ultimate covering is found in Jesus Christ, who bore our shame so we could receive His righteousness.

The challenge this week is simple:

Be a blanket carrier.
Pray more than you post.
Restore more than you repeat.
Cover more than you criticize.

If this message spoke to you, don’t let the conversation end here. Take time to read Genesis 9:20–23 again, reflect on the discussion questions, and ask yourself:

“Am I helping people heal, or am I helping spread their hurt?”

 she still had her life, her faith, her future, and Ruth walking beside her.

Through biblical analysis, theological reflection, and practical application, this lesson examines how grief, disappointment, loss, and trauma can distort our perspective and even reshape our identity. Students will discover the difference between being empty and being hurt, learn how God often works through what remains rather than what was lost, and explore how divine providence is active even in seasons of pain.

This lesson may be especially helpful for individuals navigating grief, loss, transition, disappointment, burnout, identity struggles, emotional wounds, or major life changes.
