Aerospace growth creates opportunities for the entire Antelope Valley; But we must also prepare our communities to keep up.

Our Aerospace Deep Dive identified several areas that will be important to support continued growth. These include housing, healthcare, infrastructure transportation, education, public safety, and other community services.

As aerospace employment expands across Edwards Air Force Base, Plant 42, Mojave Air & Space Port, and the region’s network of contractors and suppliers, these needs will grow alongside it. Our Deep Dive was helpful in identifying challenges and discussing opportunities for greater coordination and long-term planning.

Preparing for aerospace growth means preparing the people, families, businesses, and communities that will support it. Building the capacity to meet these needs will be an important part of keeping Aerospace Valley positioned for what’s next.

LA Public Works is creating a new ordinance to give people more ways to get around, like walking, biking, transit, and carpooling. The goal is less traffic, cleaner air, and lower travel costs for everyone.

The Antelope Valley has long been at the forefront of aerospace innovation. And our region has the assets to support the industry across its full lifecycle.

From research and design to flight testing, evaluation, manufacturing, and production. The Aerospace Valley brings together specialized facilities, industry partners, educational institutions, and an experienced technical workforce.

Edwards Air Force Base and Air Force Plant 42 alone support approximately 30,000 jobs, highlighting the aerospace industry’s significant role in our regional economy.

As aerospace programs and employment continue to grow, the opportunity is clear: build on the strengths that have made Aerospace Valley a leader while preparing our region for what’s next.

These findings were among the key takeaways from our Aerospace Industry Deep Dive. Which brought together industry, military, education, workforce, healthcare, and government partners to discuss the future of aerospace in our region.

Mini Meds is a partnership between PRMC and WUSD to inspire and introduce 4th and 5th graders to amazing careers in medicine and that they can accomplish anything they put their minds to.
