Our thoughts and prayers are with the Lewisville Fire Department as they go through this difficult time.

The Lewisville Fire Fighters are heartbroken by the loss of our brother and friend, Michael Swope. Michael was a dedicated firefighter/paramedic and Field Training Officer for the Lewisville Fire Department. He was known for his great sense of humor and the way he could instantly lift the mood with his laugh. More than that, Michael always looked out for his fellow firefighters and made sure everyone around him was taken care of.

At home, Michael was a loving husband who cherished his wife and a devoted father who took immense pride in his children. His family was his foundation, and his love for them drove everything he did.

Please join us in keeping the Swope family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.

Recently, two of our Fire Engineers took part in an intensive class on pump operations, hydraulic principles, and standpipe systems with Coyote Fire Training.

These are core skills in firefighting—making sure water gets where it’s needed, when it’s needed. By sharpening their understanding of hydraulics and standpipe operations, our firefighters continue building the expertise that helps protect our community every day.

🙌 Big thanks to Affordable Drill Towers for bringing out the standpipe prop, and to and for sharing your time and knowledge with our crew. Training like this makes us smarter, stronger, and more prepared.

Always Learning. Always Improving. Always Ready. 💪
